Sounds like he was chasing a bag and Woodson complied... when Woodson "retired", Zrno decomitted and now he and/or his agent are crying that DeVries didn't reach out, and now isn't taking his calls... sounds like a true head case chasing a bag, IMO.

Does anyone have an idea about the timeframe for a decision on Goode's request? Would be great to have him back, and would help Coach DeVries as he plans his future player recruitment...

You will never see me "wildly excited" about any thing Woodson did, short of "retiring". Please do go back and review my posts... I said from the start that no matter who Woodson got from the portal, nor how much talent they had on paper, the proof would be in the coaching - that no matter what the collection of talent looked like, Woodson was still the coach and that it would not end well. Turns out that I was a freaking Nostradamus on the subject. DeVries is proven to be a better coach that Woodson. He resurrected two D1 programs in short order. DeVries seems to have a clear plan about his portal work, and appears to be building a team of parts... and it's true, we don't know how this will turn out, but I am way more optimistic about this team than I was for the past 8-10 years. All Woodson ever did was look bewildered and make excuses for the poor performance of his team. Without TJD, Woodson would have missed the tournament all four years...

It's true, there is no equity in rule enforcement... but that KSR account was whining that IU "tampered" with Wilkerson, and they UK pulls this crap (allegedly)...

Well, to start with, DeVries is ten times the coach that Woodson was... DeVries is building a team of compatible parts instead of collecting stars and handing out bags... DeVries will coach these guys, not just spend his sideline time rehearsing passè clichès and focusing on the insurmountable hump. This year's portal work >>> last year's portal work.
