  1. Or at least something that isn't taught...
  2. Am I the only one that sees Crean talking about how the anti-Crean chatter on social media as just a little bit self-serving? He's going for the sympathy with that crap. And ironically, if he could coach his way out of a paper bag, most of us would be happy to have him. But he can't and we aren't. Tom Crean may well be the guy that Laurence Peter was writing about. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle
  3. Does anyone really think that Glass is watching this crap and enjoying it?
  4. … except, of course, that Crean would be gone.
  5. Call Allied Van Lines and let's set it up.
  6. From where I sit, next year will not be pretty, anyway... so why not make a move? If IU's gonna suck, at least we'd have something to show for it.
  7. I saw where Ol' Roy attempted the olympic chair toss today against Miami... IMO, it was a piss-poor effort. I gave him a 6.2.
  8. I doubt that either Glass or Crean see much of the email/snail mail that comes their way. They have people to screen it, shred it and send out canned responses. I've written 4 or 5 times over the past 3 years... and the e-mails that I've gotten in response are pretty much the same form letter. They may have several versions, but the message is the same: "Thank you for your email regarding Tom Crean and the Indiana University men’s basketball program. Please know that I read all of my emails, including yours, and I take all comments that I receive very seriously. I appreciate you taking the time to write." Blah, blah, blah. Turn up the heat.
  9. I agree... besides, he's already had 2-3 knee injuries... "faking" one now would only add to any perception that he is fragile, physically. If he can't complete a 25-30 game season, how will the scouts expect him to last for a full 82 game season of much more physical play?
  10. Via twitter from Rob Judson: https://twitter.com/JPPrice/status/825430061725650944/video/1 "... He sustained that in the second half at Michigan..."
  11. No clue about what the injury is/may be... but I will ask this again... what is going on in Bloomington re: leg/knee injuries? I keep hearing how well conditioned these guys are, and I fully understand that sometimes injuries "just happen" freakishly or otherwise... but Blackmon has missed playing time for at least 3 knee related injuries... Hartman has had two, OG is currently out for a knee issue... going all the way back to Mo Creek and his freak knee injury...
  12. A friend brought this to my attention... it was written in 2008 when Crean left Milwaukee for Bloomington, by a guy who claims to be "Your source for the finest third-rate analysis of college and high school basketball in (and occasionally out) of the state of Wisconsin". As Yogi would say (not THAT Yogi) Déjà vu all over again... http://chriswesthoops.blogspot.com/2008/04/tom-creans-leaving-huh.html?m=1
  13. There you go... all fixed up. :D
  14. First of all, TO WHOM I give my money, and WHY is my business... and it's not "f****** r*******" - it's my choice. Secondly, you are entitled to your opinion, but the fact is "my money, my choice". Now that we have that out of the way... let me clarify. I meant specifically financially supporting the basketball program through ticket purchases, IU gear, etc. Instead of traveling back to Indiana 2-3 times a year to catch a game, I just don't go. But thanks for your opinion.
  15. Sweet 16? How many lottery pick did RMK have on that team? Answer: ZERO. Alan Henderson was the 16th pick in the '95 draft. Damon Bailey was the 44th pick in the '94 draft. Brian Evans was the 27th pick in the '96 draft and no one else was drafted... it takes Crean TWO of the top 4 picks to get that far...
  16. You may be 100% correct in your analysis... but personally, I see the REASON for the worse/worst times in a key piece to this discussion. In the 2008-2010 time frame, the program was decimated at the hand of one Kelvin Sampson... and that generated a sympathy factor in the fan base towards the program, the kids and to some extent the new staff. The attendance at that time was to show support and sympathy for the state of the program and the effort to recover/rebuild. In today's case, the absolute opposite would be on display. Rather than show up for bad basketball to support the recovery, it would be a (lack of) attendance to show our displeasure with the state of the program and how it's being mismanaged, and destroyed. Just another perspective.
  17. Sorry, I forgot to include the </sarcasm> tag...
  18. <sarcasm> May be true, but what about "deflections" (NOT to be confused with the soon to be talked about defections). </sarcasm>
  19. Buckle up, Olivia... it's fixing to get really bumpy... IU's just now entering the tough part of the schedule...
  20. I am tired of my team needing a "turnaround miracle" nearly every season... how many times can TC catch the proverbial lightning in a bottle?
