I'm with you, Coach Beard is on the top of my list as well.

Ben McCollum (Drake) would be another coach to take a look at as well. My top 3 would be in no particular order: Chris Breard Bucky McMillian Ben McCollum

I beleive in the end this is going to be a fruitless endeavor. Trying to build a team out of the portal is a daunting task, bringing in a couple portal transfers a year to help aid your team from the previous year is one thing but trying to construct pretty much a whole team is another. Plus, I have lost all faith in Coach Woodson's ability to coach a team play college basketball effectively. (Can't wait to hear the excuses he come up with after losses next year)

Woody can't discuss recruiting because he has no clue what is even going on with recruiting. I am shocked at how clueless he is a coach and even more dumfounded that the IU Administration, Dolson and the BoT don't or want to see it. I don't care that Archie got 4 years (he should have only had 3) no way in hell does Woody deserve nor should get a 4th year.

Well, Woodson in 3 years has put us to the ground. I look for year 4 to put us 6 feet under. Damn, this is a sad day, thinking of watching another year of this brand of basketball makes me sick to my stomach.

ok it's time to fire Coach Woodson, he is an absolute terrible coach, great guy but bad coach. His teams play with no fire, sense of urgency, discipline, value of the ball or comprehension of the fundamentals of basketball.

I know I'm in the minority here but I like the hire, we need a hard nose coach who knows IU's culture from days past (which is what everyone always clamors for when referencing Coach Knight). I believe Coach Woodson will bring leadership, discipline and grit back to the program. He is a smart guy and will figure out the recruiting very easily in my opinion, look at the stories he could tell to potential recruits. Go ahead and flame away but I like that this is not a "shiny new toy" hire. We obviously could not get it right previously so going a different route should change things. Go Hoosiers!

I do have a feeling that Dolson has set his sights on Beard, with Coach Knight back in Bloomington it could be a determining factor in Beard's choice.

I totally agree, the players were going to boycott and the AD caved and we got Davis.

To be honest I'm glad I'm not Dolson, not everyone is going to be as happy with his next choice as they would have been with Stevens.

Could easily consider Greg Tonagel as well, 3: NAIA Div. II National Championships (2014, 2016, and 2018) with and overall record 420-108 with Indiana ties. IU Scott beat me too it....lol

For me I would rather IU picked Musselman, has turned around 2 programs (Nevada and Arkansas) and has NBA coaching experience

I'm curious, once Brad Stevens is announced head coach how many kids might reconsider their commitments to other schools to take a look at IU with a new head coach?
