  1. At least Purdon't is getting blistered.
  2. Big, green rubber ones? lol
  3. Maybe it will be a disadvantage against other teams, but I relish the idea of having a team of basketballplayers over a team of athletes.
  4. Maybe if he said "...more experienced players" it would have some credibility. Too bad he couldn't have faced a CMW squad - he would have won and got to be on the other side of the excuses. Both teams were playing with a roster not experiencedin playing with each other, or for their current coach. It's an exhibition so....
  5. "There was no skill work, no obscure drills. This was a very intentional session focused on game reps." Yes!
  6. Strange URL for the article (class of 2020 and 2021?) Any realistic possibility of landing a highly ranked recruit from Kentuck? I'll bet there's no one else named Junior County, unless it's his dad.
  7. Just an FYI: I signed up last June for the $19/yr promotion and recently recieved an email from them telling me it would soon renew at the regular ($79) price. I logged on and selected Cancel and it gave me the offer to renew at $19 (which I did).
  8. It's that it probably isn't a factor (or much of one) to today's players. They are interested in $, PT, their role and how it can help them in the future. These are no longer "student athletes" - they're professional basketball players who may attend classes (and that's fine).
  9. If the answer is no, I guess we can put to rest the importance of getting recruits on campus on a beautiful, Little 5 weekend.
  10. I remember a mob movie with a character named (something like) "Jimmy Two Times" who always said things twice. I like "Freddy two times".
  11. We're conditioned by 9 years of teams that struggle to play up to their individual rankings. As someone else alluded to, we'll need to be better than the sum of our individual parts. I'd argue that is required for any team to be really good. Getting back to respectability is going to require quality coaching and hopefully DD is the level of coach we're all banking on.
  12. One thing I really like is the addition of several experienced, competent 3-pt shooters. For too long we've used 3 ponters too sparingly and when we needed more, we just brought in a single guy.
  13. That's a LOT of schekels - probably too much. But with a given budget and one-year rentals it's basically year-by-year. Your top player gets X dollars as long as he's the best available then wipe the slate clean the next year and re-order the payroll.
  14. He said 'type'. Besides, he's following Frazier.
  15. Not being a d*ck, but why are you so confident about this? We don't even know what our roster will look like. The Big ten has MSU, MI, PU, WI, & IL who'll be projected to be battling for the league crown and there will be 3 other teams with new coaches - IA & MD won't be slouches. Finishing 7th or 8th won't 'easily' put us in the tournament, let alone guarantee advancement. Any coach who can put us in the top 5 based on our current position will have to be very good, practically a magician. It'll be great if that is what we have.
  16. Imagine how much worse it would be if we were in the same situation and Tucker was still in the portal and/or Sisley reopened his recruitment.
  17. No other program would have hired Woodson in the first place ffs.
  18. Well, they were serious enough to s-can a lousy coach after 2 seasons rather than 4. Gotta give 'em that.
  19. When and how does a coach determine which type a given player is? Is it during the visit, or before extending an offer. IDK
  20. I think that's exactly right. We're starved for something to be excited about.
  21. Precisely. We can win with a competent coach because we're Indiana with our "resources". The proof will be in the pudding, but at this point there's been zero to get excited about. Hopefully that will change but thus far meh.
