Fantastic post. I could not agree with you more. As a fan, I love this program and think it's special. But most folks outside of our fan circle don't view it that way anymore. And why would they? The last 30 years haven't been great.

This was confusion. Dolson did go to New Mexico, but it wasn't to see the Breaking Bad set. It was to sign his "guy" Richard Pitino.

I agree with you 100% There is some degree of risk and yes, the guy has made some mistakes. Some of those mistakes are inexcusable. But people change. He is #1 on my list. Always has been. I love the guy and think he would build a dynasty here.

This message board is a blast during coaching searches. Rumors are fun. I love "insiders" whether they are wrong or right. It's just fun to talk basketball with fellow Hoosier fans who have been subjected to the same misery as myself. But some of you guys are so bipolar and need to chill. The mood goes up and down by the minute. "Yes, we are getting Brad Stevens." *10 minutes later* "Brad Stevens was never going to happen!" *5 minutes later* "It was all a smoke screen. Brad Stevens is signing his contract Monday!" *30 seconds later* "Actually it's Brad Brownell who is signing the contract!! He is Dolsons "guy". Our program is doomed. Panic!"

I'm not sure what else you would expect Stevens to say (even if he really has got a contract in hand). Its always a denial until it's official. Not saying it will be official, but he said exactly what I would have said.

I keep having this fear that I'm going to check back here after work, ready to ride the Stevens train, and instead I find an official announcement for the hiring of Jerome Tang. But until then.......Brad Stevens forever!
