Quick (kinda) story about my shopping experience the other night that made me realize even further that IU has the greatest fans out there. Let me start the story off by saying I live down here in SE Indiana, roughly 5 minutes from the Kentucky border. I was finishing up my Christmas shopping in Kentucky as they have the closest mall to where I’m located. I was attempting to pull out of an overcrowded parking lot. A gentleman sitting in the lane that I needed to be in began waving his arms, pointing at the front of my car, and yelling things at me. I recently had to put a chunk of change into my car for repairs so I instantly thought, sh!t, something is wrong with my car again. I roll my window down and he says “Hey, are you an IU fan?” I shake my head and yell yes. Expecting him to be a UK fan and say something ignorant based on where we are, he surprisingly says “I’m going to let you out!” Which didn’t sit well with the hundreds of other ppl waiting that could’ve been let out. We then get up to the light and he rolls up next to me. “And you don’t like UK either do ya?” He asked me. “Hell no” I respond. Turns out he has season tickets and was a handful of rows behind Vic at the FSU game(yes we had a full on conversation about games we’ve been to and are going to in the short amount of time waiting at the light). I remember being at the IU Butler game this year at BLF and multiple times turning to my wife stating how I want guys like Brunk on my squad. He’s that guy that gets down and dirty on the floor and scraps. He’s the guy that brings fire and emotion. Pleaseeee bring him on board. Wow. Judging by that Andrew Dakich senior speech, he has father’s gift to gab.

Possibly because he didn’t have the personnel at Dayton to go 9-10 deep? If we were to get Romeo and this seemingly solid SG (which we desperately need) I could very easily see us going 9-10 deep. He didn’t have the quality of players at Dayton that he is going to be reeling in here. You have to start wondering if playing these small Indiana schools is a good idea. I like the idea of it and think it’s great for the state but not sure the pros outweigh the cons if you’re IU. Playing IU is the biggest game of the year for ISU or IPFW so they are going to bring everything they got. If IU wins, no one will bat an eye but if they lose, then it is a back breaker. I know a lot of people like that idea of adding even more of these games to the schedule each year (Ball St, Evansville, etc.) but these games are no cake walks. I’m hoping in a couple years this is a moot point and CAM has IU working like a well oiled machine but I guess time will tell. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

His teams always seem very Izzoish. They come to play at this time of the year and that is something we are not accustomed to the past couple decades!

I'm just throwing this out there, but why doesn't Mike Brey ever get tossed around as far as a possible candidate? He's obviously laid the groundwork as far as Indiana recruiting and always has a competitive team in a powerhouse conference. For as well as he does at a "football school", I wonder how well he'd do at a "basketball school". I feel like he is extremely underrated
