bnkepner got a reaction from jonz44 in (2015) JUCO PF Cullen Russo
Definitely has been. I actually kind of like the idea of him bringing the ball up every now and then. I think it could work in a year or so when has better decision making. I think it works well, then he tries to do too much and it falls apart

They have one of the most talented squads that Gonzaga has ever had this year. Wiltjer is a beast down low and his backup is Arvydas Sabonis' son Domantas. He is a freshman and has looked great. I wish we could tap into some of that European talent. IU has never had too much luck in that department but several big schools are starting to

Syracuse swung and missed with Patterson as well cause the kid is so bad he can't even sniff the court their. At the time, we would've looked dumb not to go after and sign Hanner and Hollowell. These kids were ranked in the top 50 nationally in their class. The fact that their haven't worked hard on their own is not Creans fault.
And I think a lot of the Harris situation had to do with some recruiting violations as well. He was contacted during a period that he wasn't supposed to have been. If Harris really would've wanted to come and Crean felt like he would've come, there would've been a spot for him.

No I definitely didn't take it as you attacking Thon himself. I guess we'll see in the coming months what happens. I doubt Coach K would be involved though if there was that much stink coming off the situation. There are some respectable coaches still recruiting him so that bodes well for the situation. I guess we'll see what happens.

If there is some sort of violation its going to no different from Peter and Hanner here.
Kid moved from South Sudan to Australia to escape a civil war that has been going on since 1989. Moved from Australia to the US to get more exposure basketball wise. As far as his move from Virginia to Canada, can't speak on it. He did go to a bigger basketball school in Canada. All Im saying is the persecution this kid escaped from in South Sudan, he gets a lifetime pass in my book

bnkepner reacted to IUsafety in Kentucky's trip to the Bahamas
"You look at anybody else who played a foreign tour, even in the Bahamas, they were all teams where maybe a 10th-grader might have been the best player on the team," Peevy said. "That wasn't worth it to us."
Wow, why would any college team go on a foreign tour? They could just play their local high schools and get at least 11th and 12th grade talent. This guy is trying awful hard to come up with a justification.

Their program seems to be a little fishy. The Mundiay situation was a weird one as well. Now Martin leaves the program and its just all around weird

bnkepner got a reaction from BGleas in What would you do?
I think its an easy decision to go play.
I never was recruited in any sports or anything but its kind of like applying for college. I applied to three schools when I graduated from high school. I applied to IU, Butler, and Ball St. I've been an IU fan since I was born and dreamed of going to school there. I was accepted at all three but Butler offered me a small academic scholarship and Ball St a full ride academic scholarship. So I could go to IU and pay full tuition or go to Ball St for free. I ended up choosing Ball St because of the scholarship.
Like others have said, it depends on the person. We've had walk ons at IU that were offered scholarships at other schools but would rather sit the bench as a walk-on at IU. Then there are other kids that would rather play and end up transferring out for that opportunity. I don't necessarily think that riding the bench at IU for 4 years gets you any advantage or someone who played 4 years at a mid major or smaller school.

I know. About 6 months old. Makes him more of a Native Hoosier than Zeller is.

The difference is that everyone knew Victor was an all-star in the work ethic department. If he wasn't there yet, he would get there. The same can't be said of Troy obviously.
