I dont see anybody imploding, just bunch of people who hate Brad Brownell. I read what Chris said as it was just a guess from whoever that person was. Not that Scott Dolson said anything about hiring Brad Brownell specifcally. It could have been something like "these are different types of guys I'm looking at: guy who has a lot of experience at a P5 school; Brad Brownell, Buzz Williams. Guys who have had success but not at the highest level; Ben McCollum, etc. As an official member of the Brad Brownell hate club, I am forced to overreact whenever his name is mentioned.

I'd be rooting for the asteroid if Brad Brownell was our coach.

Is he pushing him, or did Dolson ask Cig about him because of their connection; and he gave him a positive review? Pretty big difference, and I hope it's the latter, as the football coach should have no say or huge influence on the decision of a basketball coach.

This is not directed at Alford Bailey, as he is a longtime and respected poster. But this would be a good test. Do we think AH, the ghost, and some of the other newer guys would be able to stay out of a Brad Stevens discussion only post?

Cronin is a very good coach. Imo he is a high floor, low ceiling guy. Which might be what IU needs. I think he would consistently make the tournament here which is something we have lacked since the middle of Tom Crean's tenure. He's just not very likeable. We can do much worse than Mick Cronin. I'm just hoping we can still do better.

So there are a few options here. 1. Chris is the most elaborate troll of all time, spending 10+ years here, only to troll us once every 4 years when a coaching search happens and has other accounts to agree with the things he is hearing. (Unlikely) 2. The source is bad and is spinning a fantasy story about Brad Stevens. If Yeagley, Chris, etc. all have the same source, this could be the case. I'm guessing they don't, but who knows. Unless it's a coordinated effort to just troll message board members. 3. We didn't meet his demands. 4. He put out a vague "I like my job" message because he didn't want to distract from All Star Weekend and he is still planning on signing after. 5. Brad Stevens is trolling Scott Dolson. In order of possibility I would rank them 2, 5, 4, 3, 1. It just doesn't make sense to give a 2 week deadline, then just 2 days later, say he will sign when we meet his counter offer, we then meet his counter offer, and then he immediately shuts it down when he gets the offer in hand. For the record, I don't blame Chris for any of this; for I certainly believe he was reporting what he was hearing. Note: It's day 4 for of Brad-Watch and I may just be losing my mind.
