I'll preface this by saying the chances of Brad Stevens being our next coach are extremely low in my opinion. It's just pretty hard for me to believe, but the timing of everything is interesting. If you take what we heard here at face value: He supposedly verbally agrees if we meet his demands, we meet the demands and almost as soon as he supposedly gets the updated contract, the statement that he is not a candidate comes out. Between the timing and wording of the statement, if you squint enough, you can convince yourself something is going on. Either way, it's been an entertaining and wild week of #BradWatching. Just hoping in the end, we end up with somebody we can all rally around and we start winning some basketball games.

Turns out Isaac did end up being a legend, just for different reasons than originally thought. Surprised at some of the visceral reactions this morning, considering it seems most people here aren't buying what Isaac and GP are selling anymore.

The most rose colored glasses view is that if Steven's had already verbally agreed to the job and has the contract he wouldn't technically be a candidate at that point; the job would be his. I don't think he would do that to Goodman personally, but if he didn't want any info getting out, you would have to be tricky with your words, similar to that.

Unfortunately it is already a part of BTB lore and it will live on forever. If my source told me this, I would have kept to myself until a deal was signed, and maybe even then, never mention it, lol. I want to believe... but that's a tagline to a different show Vince Gilligan worked on.

What a wild story. Brad Stevens and Scott Dolson going on vacation together to Albuquerque to visit set pieces from Breaking Bad is so outlandish... that I desperately want it to be true. (Regardless of who our next coach is)
