6 out of the last 7 games North Carolina has won by double digits.
-
I guess I was looking at overall shooting percentage but regardless the kid has talent and there was a reason he was a pre season all American But watching him brick one after another it would of been nice to see that Friday. Lol
-
I never said I was satisfied Im old enough to actually experience iu's runs past the sweet 16 however if I was in my early 20's and all I have experienced was 1st weekend exits and not making the dance then sweet 16 don't seem so bad
-
I disagree about Paige not doing that again. His shooting just went south this year. Last year he was above 42 percent from 3
-
Irish are controlling pace which they have played that way before I have never seen iu try and control pace and work the shot clock just not in their Dna. We are at our best when we run and play fast unfortunately they are better at it
-
Notre dame doing everything they can to keep this close. Trying to control pace it seems every shot they take comes with less then 6 secs on the clock. I don't think iu would try that
-
Carolina beat them by 31 in the ACC tournament if that makes you feel any better
-
Luck of the draw I would say One team got to play a Dayton team that struggled down the stretch , Michigan st ( I mean middle Tennessee) , an 11 seed gonzaga, and then Virginia who decides to collapse (Bennett is 68-1 when having a 10 point lead at half at Virginia) the 1 loss came today. The other team had to play the sec reg season co champs and sec tourney champs in second round (kenpom top 10 team and then play the reg and tourney ACC champs in the sweet 16 ( preseason number 1 and kenpom top10 and probably one of the favorites to win it all)
-
@jonsolmon Tony Bennett is 68-1 at Virginia when leading by 10+ points at halftime. That 1 will linger for a long, long, long time. Ouch
-
@lukewinn The 3-Pointapocalypse is upon us. 3 teams that take 40%+ of FGAs from deep in Final 4 (Nova, OU, Cuse). 1 before that in past decade (VCU).
-
@chronichoosier That makes one final four team currently under NCAA probation for academic fraud (among other things) with UNC up next. Yay, amateurism.
-
@jeffrabjohns Syracuse. Wow. Four-game losing skid in season, loser of 5 of 6 prior to Selection Sunday, now headed to the Final Four as a 10 seed. They also lost to St. John's in December as well Michigan st loses in the first round and the bracket opened up for a team with a chip on their shoulder. That's called taken advantage of the situation

No need apologize for your opinion I didn't think You were disrespectful at all just a different view We are all here for the same reason the love for this basketball program. I enjoy and respect other people's opinion who have a passion and different views on iu basketball . It's always good to see things from a different perspective
-
In your opinion which is fine and I never said I wanted to keep or get rid of a coach and I haven't misinterpreted any info. I have said many times I have no problem if people want to hold the first 2 years against him as a coach I personally do not. The 3rd year gets no pass from me in my opinion while I didn't think we would be in contention for any titles I thought we would of been more competitive
-
Regardless of the term used Were your expectations that first year to compete for a national title with the roster that iu rolled out on the court? Because for me I knew it would be bad but I didn't know how bad until after the Maui trip and then after the back to back home losses to northeastern and lipscomb I figured we wouldn't win another game. Hell I was surprised that we won a game in the B1G and actually looked respectable against better teams
-
In your opinion they weren't death penalty circumstances but in the views of analysts and people in the college basketball world they compared them to the death penalty
-
Well put I think me and you have the same view on what has been going on with the indiana program since the early 90's
-
I don't know I was feeling pretty low after 5 straight losses in 1st weekend of the tournament heading into the tournament game against Pepperdine. I kinda of expected a loss and ended up getting a 20 point blow out loss
-
Committee surely would of jumped them 2 seeds for beating a last 4 in team. Sarcasm font
-
Slowly? Where have you been since 1995
-
Tough break for Sheldon jeter. He transferred from vandy to Pitt to get a way from stallings. Stallings also pulled a Bo Ryan and blocked him. Now he has stallings as a coach again

That 5th place finish was 2 games out of 1st. Iu once finished 2nd but 6 games out of first back in 98. For me what place you finish in the big 10 isn't as important as if you are actually in contention for the big 10 But I agree consistency is crucial for a program

What a battle between 2 high level teams. Self trying to avoid going 2-6 in the elite 8

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Calhoun It took Jim a little time before he put up the numbers that made him a hall of fame coach https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Boeheim Same for this Jim. I'm im in no way comparing crean to these 2 I'm just pointing out that even for hall of fame coaches it took over 20 years before they got their shining moment
