  1. Losing to inferior opponents on the road happens all the time. It's what makes college basketball great. Butler (rpi of 8) has 7 top 50 wins and 7 other top 100 wins. They also have losses at Indiana state (193) and St. John's(125) This should be about Blackmon so it u want to continue this conversation I will post the response in the college basketball thread Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. Xavier at Creighton, Illinois st at Wichita st, Kansas st at Baylor , Ohio st at Michigan a couple of others Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. Because to quote a D1 coach I talked to at a high school game "fans do not understand how hard it is to win on the road in conference". Minny game was at home but to me that says that besides wisky there isn't much separation between teams 2-13. Rutgers still sucks Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  4. Looks like game will be played on espn news Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. You never know. There is enough talent on this team to win more games. Besides at Purdue, and at wisky the other games are winnable (yes even the other road games). Ohio st is a mess, Fran will do what he always does and try to run with IU so that should give IU a chance, Minny is trending down as well. They might win them or they might lose all 3. If Blackmon was out with injury their chances of winning would become smaller imo Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. Which is why this place is great and everyone can have their opinions. While I think he is below average on the defensive end he more then makes up for it on the offensive end. He is a flat out bucket getter. While he won't win it, being a jerry West finalist is a big accomplishment. Before he got injured again many in the basketball world had him as a possible comeback player of the year candidate Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. They won games before with his sub par defense. Without his offense they scored .88 points per possession and only scored 55 points against Northwestern. They lost that game because they had no offense Adding one more terrible defender to the 152nd ranked defense isnt going make a difference Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. Jerry west award watch finalist wouldn't make a difference? Only 10 make the list. 17.6 points a game Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  13. Wouldn't that answer be simple because he isnt a good basketball coach. Maybe they feel they would grow as a basketball player under a different coach. I doubt it has anything to do with not playing for him because he isn't a good man. When crean was getting blasted last year after the Duke game Lyle (Ohio st tweeted about how he was like a father figure to him. Although Wilkes went to UCLA he has nothing but good things to say about crean the person. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. Other side of that is they could of been 7-3 ( Nebraska and @maryland were both winnable games) being lucky is part of college basketball I would argue even though they lost @maryland was one of the better games this team has played Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. This team has shown they can lose to any team with a pulse at home. That's why I love college. basketball. You never know until u tip the ball. Hell after Maryland lost to Nebraska at home Ken Pom projected them to lose the next 7 of 8 games. They have won 7 in a row since that loss Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. If iu goes 4-4 in the last 8 games they are going to make the tournament. Whichever 4 teams they beat won't matter. 3 of those road games are against teams that have flaws like iu and will be winnable. Minny started out good but they are definitely not as good as their rpi rating, Ohio st is in just as big of mess as we are, and Iowa Fran will try to out run iu like h tries every year. I'm not saying we will win them but out of all the road games we would play in conference those would be the most winnable. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  19. They use their own formula that's a little different. They r usually close. ESPN is nice to look at for their team sheets. Just check NCAA rpi to get a more accurate number. Sorry Wat I'm a rpi and team sheet junkie. I do my own bracketology so I remembered Syracuse numbers from last year. I had them out Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
