Depends on what this committee feels is important. It could be enough. That year pretty much every bracketologist including me thought that winning 1 was going be enough that year. Turns out IU needed the game against Illinois as well since they were second to last team in the field

It will be very important. David Worlock who works for the ncaa and is the guy when it comes to the ncaa tourney has gone out of his way to emphasize that for selection it is the tool bracketologist should pay attention to. Last year every at large team with a WAB 42 or better got selected. North Carolina was 42 and West Virginia the first team out was 48. IU was 48th last year. OSU is currently 39th in WAB. Got to think a road win moves ius up close to the 40 line

Ius WAB moved up to 48 after the Minny game. They were at 51 after the Sparty game. Win at OSU and that number will keep improving.

That’s best case scenario for IU. IU needs cheap Q2 wins like some of these of teams get against non tourney teams to fill the resume. Since it’s a neutral court game Northwestern is a Q2. Penn st would be a Q3. That would do nothing to help the resume

In Conwells case I think even if you know he isn’t coming the head coach of Indiana has to try. He was one of the hottest guards in the portal and had Indiana connections. Kind of like the head coach of IU needs to be presence at Indiana high school sectional of final games even if they are not recruiting anyone at that time. Unwritten rule sort of speak. If he wouldn’t have went after Connell he would have gotten blasted on here for not even trying. He was perfect but in this case I don’t think he did anything wrong. Just my opinion

They swung for the fences off the bat with 2 kids that were not going to go to IU from the jump. Conwell they had to go after just because but he was going to Louisville. Kelsey tried to get him the year before but got a late start. Once he went into the portal this year Kelsey had the jump on everyone since he is basically from that area or have a ton a family from that area. Dix they had to go after because of the relationship DeVries had with him but that kid was going to go where ever was closest to his mom that was battling cancer and sadly she lost her battle with cancer during the season. For the time being Marquette moved to 99 which makes that win a Q2. Makes the number of Q2 wins look better but like with the others that are close to a quad cutoff line it doesn’t make the win any better or worse

At least it’s 1 spot away from going back to a Q1 loss and a Q2 win. I wouldn’t worry that much about it if it’s that close. Those are just cutoff numbers to sort the wins a loses. Not one committee member is going to say that loss is worse because they were 76 instead of 75. Media makes too big of deal about the Quads.

Sounds like if they don’t make the tourney they won’t be playing in any other tourney

Cincy is the one of the hottest teams in the country right now. They definitely need to take care of TCU I have them next 4 out Eastern Michigan home loss destroyed their WAB Their WAB is 58 right now and that needs to get to around 42 I think it’s a little too late for them however no one will want to play them in the Big 12 tourney It will be interesting how the committee treats them if they do find their way back to the cut line

New Mexico lost st home last night. They are firmly near the cut line. USC lost again and are probably in having to win the BTT territory especially with the 40 year old quitting on his team. Committee can argue they are a different team without him and they have lost every game since he left
