Bingo. Hunter went from winning gold jersey one day to out with an underlying issue? A sprained ankle makes sense - he was playing great and boom - rolled his ankle. An underlying issue makes much less sense - in this scenario you have to believe Hunter was playing at gold jersey level while dealing with severe enough leg pain that he is now going to be out months. I’m very concerned this is either an eligibility issue or a behavioral issue.

Alford's seat could not be any hotter. There is no way he survives the season if he is anything higher than a 4 seed in the tournament, which would be possible if he could coach or if his roster wasn't total garbage. Pretty sure he said going into halftime that they had a Plan A, B and C - Plan A didn’t work so they were going to B and C in the second half. I say - if you have 3 plans - you don’t have any plan at all.

I was just passing along the words of a high school coach who saw a practice. This was his opinion- not mine. I unfortunately have never seen a practice. Definitely great news that Romeo won the gold jersey!

Some of you may have noticed on social media the hoosiers hosted several high school coaches yesterday (to observe practice). I got a quick update from someone who watched. -Juwan didn’t practice due to a non-serious leg injury -Phinisee is pushing Green for starting PG role -Deron seems to be moving well but won’t be ready to play serious minutes for a while. -Justin Smith is going to have a big year -the coach also didn’t love Romeo’s intensity level. -he also said we are deep at wing/forward (not news to anyone) Nothing groundbreaking. I think this is continued good news on Phinisee.

Michigan State May get Isaiah Stewart (despite what optimists here think, Stewart and TJD won’t want to play together). Alford isn’t going to survive the season. Process of elimination = TJD to IU.

Which is more likely? TJD commits to someone besides IU or he takes the $125k G-league+endorsement deal?

Totally agree with you on TJD.

I don’t like being one of the early officials. Every place he goes (With Purdue being the obvious exception) is going to look great and give him a very compelling pitch. A lot can happen between now and his decision - even if we are well ahead today.

Anyone hear any updates on KBJ coming out of HH? Judging based on the social media pics it looks like they had a great time.

Would like to see some major development out of Clifton this year. However, I haven't heard any chatter about him from coaches or players in interviews. I would be surprised to see him get regular minutes this year.

I would think it would be highly unlikely TJD and Stewart end up at the same place. Stewart to MSU could eliminate competition for TJD. I would rather have TJD as he is much more likely to be in college for more than a year.
