  4. You can watch his announcement tomorrow on CBS Sports. https://www.cbssports.com/live/
  5. NIL through a university or jumping to Overtime Elite if you're offered? '23 Myles Colvin recently offered a 2-year $500,000 deal from OE. Today I read '23 5-star KJ Lewis declined an offer from Overtime Elite worth $500,000 and will enroll in college once graduating high school. Several hours after I posted this, it was announced that Colvin declined the offer.

  8. Ongoing series of post-Bahamas stories. Today's focus on Jordan Geronimo. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/bahamas-rewind-observations-on-jordan-geronimo-play-during-iu-basketballs-foreign-tour/
  9. Opening game of the FIBA Americas U16 Championships. USA faces Puerto Rico at 3:30 ET and game will be available at: https://www.youtube.com/user/fibaworld If there's no play-by-play, I believe Fears will be #6.
  10. And the opportunity to experience a Bloomington, IN culture might be the fulfillment of a dream. Get Cook Medical to sign him up under NIL and move the whole family. Jordan Geronimo might be a huge plus in talking about why he moved so far from home and why he decided to stay after the coaching change and entering the portal.
  11. B1G's COVID policy for all sports. The league announced on Monday morning teams that cannot play a game due to COVID-19 must forfeit the contest and such games will not be rescheduled. The rule applies to all sports for the 2021-22 athletic year and is similar to the approach being used by other major conferences. [However, I believe the period that ends the very last sentence of the policy: "...no further action shall be taken." is actually a microdot that says this policy does not apply to Ohio State.] https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/big-ten-teams-unable-to-play-a-2021-22-game-due-to-covid-19-must-forfeit-and-cannot-reschedule/?fbclid=IwAR0eNyCuStQbowqrciUQOFeCUIVl_jzCSEAOjwIcSLPZLGniT6ZBRzzd7Ew
  12. Our head coach post-game: "I’m very proud of the whole team and happy to get a draw out of this tough away game. ND is a good team, and probably the best team that they have had in the last five years and for us to get our first ever result against them, especially on the road is very good."
  13. Neither team can score after 110 minutes and it ends in a 0-0 tie. Hoosiers with only 5 shots; none on goal and 1 corner. We committed 16 fouls. ND with 13 total shots but only 3 of which were on goal and 9 corners. The Irish committed 13 fouls. While we couldn't muster any offense, our defense and our freshman goalkeeper did their job. Women will be back in Bloomington next Thursday to host UT Martin.
  14. 90 minutes played and still no score. We have just 4 total shots; none on goal and 1 corner. We've committed 13 fouls. ND with 8 total shots; 2 on goal and 8 corners. They've committed 11 fouls. Gerstenberg has been in our goal for the entire game.
  15. No score at halftime but ND the more aggressive team as we've only attempted 1 shot and have not taken any corners. ND with 5 total shots but only 1 on goal and 5 corners. Our freshman from Germany Jamie Gerstenberg was in goal for the entire first half.
  16. Follow-up on Miller Kopp. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/bahamas-rewind-observations-on-miller-kopps-play-during-iu-basketballs-foreign-tour/?fbclid=IwAR1t4-RlPZTztVNMSn9rXwK0r8BSc5InLUl6ag7InPXhTX7D-OcdogBJ8o0
  17. Exhibition match against Louisville and it was a sluggish first half for our Hoosiers who trailed 3-2 at the half. L'ville held a 5-4 edge in shots, 3-2 in shots on goal, 1 corner kick apiece. We hadn't conceded that many goals in a game since October 2019! In the 2nd half Bezerra caught fire and scored 2 goals on PK's and we took a 4-3 lead at 60' but L'ville tied it up in 79'. In the 87' Joey Maher scored a header off a Tommy Mihalic corner kick and we pulled out a 5-4 win. Reports are there were some post-game scuffles after Bezerra was flattened on a bicycle clearance kick to run out the clock. Jared Kelly reported Yeagley and Robson were having a midfield "discussion" with the L'ville coaches after the team had left the field for the locker room. On the night, Bezerra finished with a hat trick. This was our final exhibition match and the regular season opens next Friday at Notre Dame.
