We desperately need Woody to turn the bball program around and turn it around quickly. Last year's and this year's pre-season euphoria of referring to ourselves as a football school is pretty much dust in the wind. IU football is so damn frustrating. -
(2023) F/C Austin Parks to Ohio State
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to Gnet550's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Paul Biancardi cited Parks as one of his top 10 after the first day of the Wooten camp. This from Brandon Jenkins of 247: One 2023 prospect who has seen his recruitment pick up recently is Austin Parks and we saw why this afternoon. A 6-foot-9 bulky big man who is explosive around the rim, Parks knows who he is and thrives in his role. He asserted himself as the ultimate bruiser who took advantage of mismatches and paid rent on the glass. Big Ten members are all in hot pursuit as Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, and Ohio State have all been extremely active in his recruitment as of late. He made a great first impression that was definitely worth consideration for a spot in the next updated 2023 player rankings. -

From Mike Schumann earlier: Expectation is that a few members of the #iubb team won't be participating in HH due to normal precautionary minor injury stuff. Nothing serious per IU spokesperson. -

Mandalay Bay already mentioned as a potential site. Apparently the T-Mobile Arena is already booked.

In Alex Bozich's list of expected attendees at Hoosier Hysteria he mentioned Caleb Middleton '24 from New Hampton Prep in New Hampton, NH. Haven't heard his name often mentioned in connection with IU interest so here's some refresher into on him. Hudl June '21 -- 6'11 forward New Hampton School (NH) - Ranked as one of the most sought after prospects in the country by Playrz First Group. Middleton is entering his second year at New Hampton as a rising sophomore. He possesses guard like skills because he recently grew several inches over the last two years. He can really use his length on the defensive side of the ball, blocking several shots and being able to alter many more. His offensive game is progressing as well, recently adding a much more consistent 3 point shot and has the ability to put the ball on the deck. Holds multiple D1 offers as a freshman, including DePaul. Plays AAU with BABC. https://newenglandrecruitingreport.com/recruits/caleb-middleton-2024 Oct. '20 -- https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/2024-prospect-introduction-caleb-middleton August '20 -- Caleb Middleton, who will be joining New Hampton’s class of 2024 next year, was the first player to catch our eye. He has a terrific early combination of size, skill, and fluidity. He runs and moves well for someone his age who is already every bit of 6-foot-9. The versatility in his skill set is very intriguing as well. He can step out and make threes, put the ball on the floor, and score inside with baby hooks and good footwork. In short, he’s bound to be one of the top early prospects in next year’s freshman class. 2021 Peach Jam -- Caleb Middleton '24 ( C ) - BABC 15U Date W/L Pts. FGM FGA FTM FTA 3PM 3PA Reb Assts. We certainly had our chances but it just wasn't meant to be and after 2 OT's match ends tied 1-1. Women moved to (8-2-2) (2-1-1) and return to Bloomington to host Michigan on Sunday at 1:00. -

Camille Hamm picks up a yellow card in 60' but it fires up the women and at 61' Jen Blitchok ties it up on an assist from Anna Bennett.
