  1. He also shared a pic from MM's visits to St. John's and KU. I'm not saying this means one thing or another. Just letting you know.
  2. @JerryYeagley23 - Anything your eyes and ears can report? Hope the visit is going well.
  3. Just out of curiosity, how do you know that it's just setting up visits for next week and not a decision? Trilly's response, as well as the question, was vague.
  4. The hilarious part is acting as if UK has scruples. They not only guarantee money, they find ways to provide benefits outside the scope of NIL to entice players to commit or remain at the school.
  5. My point was that i didn't think the unfollows were about trying to keep this quiet because he follows some St. John's players.
  6. I don't know about the second part. He follows two St. John's players.
  7. JHS is in LA prepping for the draft now. Is he scheduled to come back to Bloomington this spring?
  8. And we could learn a lot about Devo with a quick call to Keith.
  9. Trying to wrap this up for @normandale97, @RaceToTheTop and @Josh. Go to the 38 minute mark of the HH podcast. They are talking about other conferences getting more talent than the B1G. Eric says " . . . but NIL should level the playing field . . ." in regards to cheating. Coach Ya responds that it doesn't. Also, Coach Ya wasn't convicted by the courts for any wrongdoing and the NCAA cleared him of wrongdoing. He addressed the situation in a HH podcast which aired his first spring/summer in Bloomington. I hope this helps. Cheers, everyone!
  10. In a recent podcast Coach Ya said even with NIL cheating is still happening.
  11. He could be right or wrong. He could know something or be guessing. He did say when the Caleb Love to IU news was hot that Caleb was down to IU and Mizzou. That didn't pan out.
  12. Isn't that their point? A firm hand would help reel him in. CMW has handled personalities/players traits much worse than Love's. Maybe it would work, maybe not, but copying and pasting his season averages isn't much of an argument either way.
  13. Of course I just heard Kenya on Twitter Spaces say we'll probably lose JHS.
  14. Don't know where to put this, but is anyone hearing news in JHS? Some folks (don't know if they are connected or not) saying he will return.
  15. Interesting. None of those schools have IU's NIL capabilities, or so it's reported. So he'd take less to be elsewhere because he can't get more here? Hope everything works out for him. Except if it's again IU. ;)
  16. Curious as to why Bates would leave and where he thinks he'll land. Minus a handful of really nice games, he didn't perform particularly well this season - especially at the end. Does he think he needs a different system? Does he think he'll get more run elsewhere? Want to be closer to home? Kansas State or Mizzou might take a flyer on him. Both have first year head coaches that relied heavily on transfers this past season, and the schools are closer to KC.
  17. I'm not sure why some think kids only want to be guaranteed starting roles. Or that they shouldn't go here or there without being guaranteed a starting role. A lot of kids understand that minutes are earned. They are willing to transfer because they have an opportunity to compete at the highest level. Maybe take advantage of what they perceive to be a better system, better coaching. The NIL opportunities are more fruitful. Maybe there are more connections at a school like IU for life after basketball. Kids that don't start from day one in a college program can still flourish and have great basketball careers. Some kids have dream schools. A lot of kids recognize the bigger picture.
  18. For sure. I'm only pointing out that SS isn't what he claims to be.
  19. A thousand times. I really cannot believe people still think he is connected.
  20. If they want their credits.
  21. If you listen to JHS interviews leading up to joining IU, he didn't expect to be an off guard. It was clear to him that he was being recruited to be a point guard. Woody also would refer to him as a point guard.
  22. If Kenya goes, so will all of our DMV, N. Carolina connections. Not saying it's the end of the world, but we're working that area a lot. Swung and missed three times there last summer, but I like some of the kids in '24 we're developing relationships with. I get Drew Adams for the A-HOPE and Indy Elite connections, but an assistant should be hired for all-around basketball acumen. A-HOPE is a nice piece of the puzzle, but as the head coach for Indiana University, it shouldn't be hard to call anyone at Indy Elite and get them to answer. That AAU program already has a lot of interest in IU. I'm not saying Drew isn't an excellent coach. He may be great. If Kenya leaves and Drew is hired, I would like to think it's for far greater benefit than A-HOPE and Indy Elite connections.
  23. Obviously, I'm not who you asked, but I have connections to BU basketball, so if you don't mind I'll take a stab here. He's a very below the rim player. Fundamentals are good. Athletic, he is not -- not quick on his feet or fast. Good footwork around the rim. Patient defender. Doesn't take players off the dribble. It's a spot up three or traditional back to the basket moves. He's similar to Race in these regards. If IU wants athletic shot makers, people to create their own shot and open opportunities for others, he isn't a good option. If IU wants someone similar to Race who could spell Malik, then IU should talk to him.
  24. To make this decision when they could still use X this season, I imagine IU feels like they have some reasonable reassurance that X will get the waiver. A lot of behind the scenes conversations happen in these instances--not saying guarantees were made, but some indication X is in good shape to receive the waiver.
  25. Miller is suspected in connection with a murder. Police are investigating whether or not he ultimately provided the gun that was used in the murder.
