Yeah it seemed like all the QBs that worked with him really liked him but Texas, Nebraska, and Louisville fans were not all that impressed with his control of the offense. Hopefully Coach Allen can attract some good coaching talent from SEC country!

We were ranked 61 nationally by 247, 56 by Scout, and 65 by Rivals. This is our lowest ranking from 247 Sports since the 2010 class. I'm not too worried though, I feel like this class will surprise some people when it's all said and done. Like coach Allen mentioned yesterday, the people ranking these kids in most cases have never coached and some kids don't get as much exposure as others. The class that produced Feeney, Spriggs, and Coleman was ranked 71 by Rivals. I think the class definitely addresses areas of need for the team and they all seem to be the type of kids we want representing IU. From an article I read: “I think there’s a lot of speed in this class,” said Steve Wiltfong, 247 Sports’ recruiting insider. “I think they’ve added some defensive linemen with some high upside. You look at the interior of the defensive line and Juan Harris and LeShaun Minor, if they can get it out of them, those are two interior guys that can be really good in the Big Ten. I think they got some high upside offensive linemen. Now, we’ll see who coaches them with coach (Greg) Frey gone. I also thought they got more athletic at linebacker and in the secondary.”

I know, I was expecting it to be cheesy like most commitment videos but it was nicely done and heartfelt.

He had an outstanding senior year at Marian. Rushed for 2,215 yds in 243 carries (9.1 avg) and had 34 TD's. In addition, he had 17 receptions for 283 yds. and 5 TD's.On the defensive side, Horvath had 71 total tackles (40 solo) and 3 sacks.

Pretty cool way to drop a commitment. Welcome to IU Mr. Ellison!

So everyone that was verbally committed has signed. Now waiting on Roundtree and Ellison plus any last minute commits/flips.

Last I saw, he was still solid on Auburn.

I wonder if we'll get any surprise commitments tomorrow? In the past seasons we have always found some diamond-in-the-rough type of player, just look at Marcelino Ball last year.

Everything I had seen had Vandy as the new favorite. Another good recruit if he picks us!

I guess most of the Florida recruits (and the class in general) are on the defensive side of the ball. The offensive lineman from Florida (Tyler Knight) that we recruited enrolled early and is in Bloomington already; the other is from the Indy area (Caleb Jones) and he seems to be high on IU. Either way, I think with Tom Allen's connections he will be able to find a solid replacement for Frey.

Ugh damn it! I hate Michigan even more now...Hope we can keep all the current recruits in place.

Only other offer shown is from Idaho? Wonder why he wasn't recruited more heavily. Either way I trust Coach DMC after having coached Coleman, Howard, and Devine I'm sure he can identify talent far better than I can.
