Athlon Sports ranked IU's linebacker unit as the 20th best in the nation for the upcoming season. According to them, our LB unit is the 4th best in the Big Ten (only Iowa, OSU, and Wisconsin are ranked in front). We all know Tegray is one of the best LBs in the country but I think Covington is going to surprise people too. I think 7 wins may be a little optimistic as well but I think 6-6 and a third consecutive bowl game is achievable with the defense we'll have.

I don't know how attainable that would be being in the East division. We will probably never have the same level of talent that OSU, Michigan, and Penn St. have because of their football tradition; but we can definitely be a program like Iowa that brings in solid 3-star recruits with a few 4-stars here and there and can yield a strong team every other year.

Also need to remember that this is only the third day of fall practice. I'm sure (or I hope) once the season starts the team will look more in sync than they did today in front of the B1G crew. Sent from my Pixel using BtownBanners mobile app

And while in the past OSU knew what type of offense Wilson liked to run, this time they will be facing a new offensive system, which may still be simplified in year 1, but it will be new nonetheless.

There is no questions OSU has more talent than us, but as you mentioned they lost a lot of starters from last year. We return one of the most experienced teams in the country and if we are to have a chance against them it will be early in the season; before they start firing on all cylinders!

Yes, its a great way to get new alumni involved. Plus you can get a pair (for $160?) and bring a friend/significant other with you. Its a great deal, considering you get a ticket for every home game.

If you graduated (or know someone that has) in the last 4 years (I believe) you can buy young alumni season tickets for $80 I believe.

According to Crimson Quarry, College Gameday is coming to Bloomington for the home opener. Neither ESPN nor IU have confirmed it yet though. But oh I hope this is true! Atmosphere will be incredible!
