  1. WHO TOOK THEM DOWN?!?!
  2. I think 3-4 of those were unrealistic, and we all know who those names are. I don't think Dolson had a specific target in mind leading to the Woodson decision, rather he realized (like everyone else) Woodson simply wasn't going to be viable moving forward. DeVries isn't going to have many people picking IU to contend right away, but with his son coming with him he's a few transfers away from being able to build something. I wouldn't say I'm excited, but I'm certainly not angry.

I was driving my family to Spring Break when the last two broke. So... sorry everyone, you're going to have to wait 2.5 more weeks.

The good news is with IU locked into Adidas for another decade the gear isn't going to change or get better, anyway.

DeVries would be disappointing, but not rage inducing. Not sure it cures the apathy.

Brad Stevens and a train should NEVER go together. I think that is one thing everyone here can agree on.

I attended Auburn many moons ago and have a few connections down there still. Won't pretend to be an insider by any stretch but I know there was some concern coming down from their Final Four run in 2019 that a school like IU could lure him away. Those days are gone. He's a made man on the Plains and with Auburn switching to Nike this summer, he will likely have more recruiting pull than he has to this point. I dont see the SEC basketball machine slowing down any time soon, either.

If we're being honest, its in the best interest of every one of the players to be in the portal. Doesn't mean they should leave.
  9. I want the third person to continue throughout his entire tenure. "Mike Woodson didn't think that was a charge". "Mike Woodson would like some Gatorade."

I'm admittedly a lurker around here, but man this thread is insanity. We're really tracking meaningless flights to the Bahamas and New York City? Does anyone really think IU would go so far out of their way to hide their movements that they would fly all the way to the BAHAMAS to get to Boston? Scott Dolson could drive 1 hour to Louisville or a few extra to Nashville and take a commercial flight and never be recognized if they were worried about that. I may be in the minority here, but the longer this takes and stays quiet the more optimistic I am. I'm not sure what the rush is... IU has no real competition. The closest program in terms of perceived relevance that is open is Marquette. No one will be offering near the amount of money, facilities or exposure that IU can. There are quality coaches that at the very least will listen that are still playing, and there is no sense in rushing to fill the job just to appease the masses. My hope is this means Dolson isn't just going to offer the first guy who shows interest. Personally, I don't want to hear about "IU guys"... recruits and AAU coaches don't care about IU guys, why should we? If there was one worth pursuing sure, but honestly none of them would be a significant upgrade over Archie (and certainly not worth a $10M buyout). Get the right guy that the players want to play for if it takes 1 week or 1 month.

    Last names on jerseys?

I doubt the names on the back matter much to the vast majority of recruits. You're at IU, you're on national TV constantly, everyone knows who you are. To some of the elite recruits the brand itself matters a lot more (shoes specifically), which is why I don't like the Adidas partnership (also they make ugly shirts). I don't see how adding names makes it any less IU, though. I get a chuckle out of the whole "You play for the name on the front" line though, such a "Get off my lawn!" comment. People would be mad for about a week and then forget about it, kinda like when they added the B1G logo to the court.
