Pathetic how Indiana has gone completely downhill as a program the last decade while Purdue has only risen. Purdue is more fundamental, his better coached, more skilled, more fun to watch. It’s a better program all around right now. Pathetic.

I remember when Indiana basketball was good. Archie and Woodson have set the program back a decade.

There is no off season. You recruit every single day unless there’s a recruiting shutdown like on the women’s side. Woodson is too stubborn to realize he’s not fit for the job at this age .

I miss tracking planes. Let’s get this thing moving folks. Program needs some fresh leadership!

It’s going to come down to money and coaching when it’s all said and done. You can have all the talent possible and still come out short. See Kentucky.

There’s talk of an unlimited amount of staff members for athletic programs. Question is, how much is your budget to afford all these new coaches? Men’s and women’s basketball can have 5 assistants now, only 3 can recruit however. In the new super league, there will be less rules. But then again, will Indiana be joining this new super league? There will be some teams who won’t be able to transition likely.

Im still shocked Woodson kept Archie’s staff for the most part. That NEVER happens. I would’ve only had kept Cliff.

Exactly this. In the NBA, he had the entire summer off. He didn’t have to recruit, teach, workout, travel for work, etc., This is a year round job that he’s not cut out to do. If he was 10 years younger than sure, but he looks like he hurts when he walks nowadays. Just retire, enjoy your family and friends with the money you made over the years.

Yesterday doesn’t change anything. Beating the second worst team in the league in the last minute while being down 98% of the game isn’t encouraging at all.

Beat the second to last team in the Big Ten Standings. Woodson should get a million dollar bonus for that accomplishment!

I wonder who is responsible for leading them. They seem to be failing at leading.

I’ve said it before but this offense is worse than Archie’s. Pathetic for an “NBA” coach that was qualified to lead the program. Dolson needs to be fired as well.

Don’t forget to bring in Fife and Matta to help him accommodate to the college level. Don’t worry though, Woodson knows basketball so he doesn’t need help outside of Hill and Wittman!

Understandable, it doesn’t make sense. But neither did hiring Mike Woodson to take over this program. Everyone can hope and pray Woodson turns it around but he has shown zero capabilities of doing that.

I’m starting to cheer for L’s. L’s means change can happen sooner than later.

Indiana plays at Ohio State tomorrow. That game may set the sport of basketball back 25 years. In this case, it won’t change much for Indiana’s style. I anticipate they will win tomorrow. Losing to OSU when they are a sinking ship would be something.

Hey I hope you’re right. I mean most of us thought Tom Allen would be here another year. But I don’t see Dolson having the balls to fire an Indiana guy after he just made the tournament two years in a row* If they lose out, which is possible, then I could see a world where Woodson is gone this spring.

Woodson was obviously not qualified for this position and the red flags should’ve been apparent from the day he was hired. Scott Dolson brings in Fife and Matta to “help” Woodson adjust to the college level, sounds like a dream come true with that experience. Woodson ends up running both those guys off after one season. Woodson hired within Archie’s staff, why? Maybe he knew them prior, I doubt it. But he knew no one that could come and help win the college game and instead hired his buddy Armond Hill, who is 70 years old. He consults with other former NBA scouts on gameplay and lets the assistants recruit. Shouldn’t have Woodson hired some elite recruiters? Promoting the former DOBO from Archie’s staff and keeping Kenya seems like a backwards @$$ move. New head coaches never retain former staff members, neither on the men nor women’s side. That was a major red flag from day one. Dolson put himself into this mess by hiring an unqualified coach who is stuck on the days when he was a former coach of the Atlanta Hawks. No NBA organizations hired him as a head coach after his stint with the Knicks, there’s a reason why I’m sure which explains why he spent almost a decade as an assistant coach. This was a horrible hire. It’s not going to work out. He’ll get another year unfortunately but he’s not the guy for the job.
