  1. I'm willing to let the Lakers lose every game next year if it meant Brad Stevens could come to IU
  2. I'll make a deal with the NBA Gods , Celtics can have first pick , Lakers can have second. Or the other way around. Just get stories programs back on top is all I ask.
  3. Honestly there's no one besides Ben and Brandon that impress me. A lot of role players which is okay yes, but not worth trading a pick for. Of course Thon Maker, Gary Payton II, Dunn will be interesting prospects May 17th couldn't come any sooner.
  4. He didn't struggle that badly.. I mean he averaged a double double for Christ sakes. 15th overall in double doubles as a rookie? That's damn good. I don't think we will trade Randle. Hell, we turned down Randle - Clarkson and our Pick for Cousins last summer. Defense and Shooting can develop. His ability to get to the Rim is pretty good. I like his future, he just has some work to do as most rookies do. One thing that he has that most players don't have is the mental toughness. He could have already hit his ceiling , we won't know that for another two or three years. I'm excited to see our young core play in a system that's not from the dinosaur days (Byron Scott Princeton Offense)
  5. Pacers need to land Conley Jr. Throw their $25 million dollars at him and call it a summer.
  6. Randle averaged a double double his rookie season. That's pretty damn impressive for only being 6'8" and having T-Rex arms. Hell, when they played the Pacers, he had 19 boards. He has the tools to be very special i think. Once he learns how to shoot and finish with his right hand, he's going to be very nice. I think Randle has the second highest potential behind Russell. In fact. Julius Randle finished with one more double double than Draymond Green this year. 34-33 (regular season). 34 Double Double as a Rookie who is only 6'8" and came off the bench for 25+ games this year? That's not bad... If we lose the pick this year, no big deal, we get it next year. We won't make the playoffs next year so the pick should be pretty decent in a very loaded draft class.
  7. Thank god the Pacers didn't win. If Pacers would've won, Demar would probably be on his way to Laker Land this summer. Pacers need to make dramatic changes. They need a PG. They need a more talented bench. They should move Ellis for a big if possible. Vogel.... I think the Pacers should look elsewhere. His plays are lackluster at best. Him and Crean must be buddies. Great year for PG. Glad he's back, just wish he was on my Lakers.
  8. The Kobe contract was a blessing , in hindsight. It allowed us to have up to $70 million dollars this summer, which is great. We can use that money this summer and next summer when the cap rises again. Mitch and Jim Buss run the show. Mitch proved he still has the juice by signing Luke Walton in one day to a 5 year 25 deal. Honestly everything has fallen in place for the lakers to build with a young core. All the contracts and free agents not signing with us has honestly been great for our future. Well Jordan Clarkson was a first team all rookie as the 46th overall pick. Pretty impressive.
  9. Major Laker fan here. LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKEEEEEEEEEEEE The best coach available, even out of Thibs and Scotts. Lakers clearly waited for Thibs and Brooks to commit elsewhere. A young champion who has learned from some of the best coaches such as Phil Jackson and Lute Olson. He's the youngest coach in the NBA right now (HC) which will be great for his communication skills in the locker room and recruiting free agents. Now we won't rush this come back. We have young talent. We could have a top three draft pick, if our pick is not top three, 76ers get it this year and we'll get it next year. No big deal if we lose it, Lakers stole a top 5 pick in Jordan Clarkson and a gem in Larry Nance Jr. We will aim for KD and possibly trade our top three pick (if we keep it). Don't expect the Lakers to go after all the big free agents. Our GM, Mitch, has already stated he's not going to sign free agents to only make us mediocre. He wants to save money for next years amazing free agents class (Oladipo, Curry, etc).
  10. Like might actually be coming home to Laker land. Thank god!
  11. He's immature. I don't think he takes the game seriously. If he did, he would be Cousins level.
  12. I'll take OG over Blackmon , Williams, Byrant , and Yogi in a NBA Draft. OG is the baby version of Kawai Leonard.
  13. Tell Pat to keep Whiteside because I want no business with him around the Lakers young talent.
  14. He found out his math class wasn't going so hot so he figured why not ;)
  15. This will be the most interesting commit next year. Is he Big Ten ready? Doesn't look like it...but who knows these days. I'm not a fan of this signing or the Freddie one, but I'm not the head coach. We will see...
  16. Quickest ACL recovery in the world if that's the case.
  17. He won't even get a workout invitation. Maybe the Pacers since obvious reasons
  18. Like I said about Williams, I hope he learned Chinese at IU. He will be back though.
  19. Major connections in the NBA. Connections to KD/Russell. Connects great with his players and his a great overall defensive coach. Has major potential. KD isn't going to Miami lol. He has no connections down there and that fact him and D-Wade are not that close. Lakers/Warriors/OKC/ will be his meetings this summer. JVG can stick to his day job on ESPN.
  20. But that was back when i was a kid. NBA has changed so much from T-Mac days. Thibs wanted full control of the organzation and that wasn't going to happen. No way would we ever give some outside the keys to the classic car (lakers ;) ) Many laker fans didn't want thibs. He was fired for a reason. He might be a good coach but he demands way too much from his players and overworks them. I wouldn't be surprised if KAT or Andrew have a torn ACL by the time Thibs is done there. We are waiving Nick Young this summer, i promise you he won't be a Laker next year. Give me Ollie, Walton, Messina, or Blatt. Kevin Ollie would be an amazing land. Could help get KD and Russell to LA.
  21. NBA > NCAA College Basketball. This might confirm it.
  22. He's not good enough for the Lakers. Lakers have messed up the last three times. I'm convinced it was all calculated. We can't possibly mess up again. NBA is losing millions and millions of dollars with the Lakers sucking. Silver will make sure the Lakers don't mess up.
  23. Has great ties to Lakers organization. Would be a great fit for our young core. Plus, he knows the best system in the NBA right now, which every team should try to emulate.
  24. Exactly. If JVG or Jackson were great coaches, they would be coaching the Nets, Suns, Wizards, Wolves, Kings.
