Can we start the Jay Wright discussion? Now that's a homerun hire if we can convince him to come out of retirement. You can only golf for so long!

His career as an AD will be judged on this hire. The Woodson hire didn't pan out, the Curt hire did. If he hires a mid-major coach, the fanbase is not going to be happy this off-season until they talk themselves into it.

Nowadays, the only requirements for the Indiana job is to have played for the program or have lived within one of the counties at some point in their life. Surprised no one has mentioned Coach K coming out of retirement yet.

Im convinced. Every other school has hired, Stevens wants to give Woodson the respect and let him finish the season out without distractions. That or Indiana struck out again and is prepared to offer the Utah State head coach.

No one knows if there is a vetting process, the only people who know what's occuring in the search truly are the $1 million+ donors to the program, Dolson, and his legal team. Perhaps the president knows as well. The only way fans can grab information at this time is if a booster is willing to chat.

Dolson has his guy, a search firm is totally normal, they've had one for each of the searches in the last 2 hires. It's been completely silent. Utah, Miami, FSU have hired their coaches. Indiana is waiting.

Folks, Prepare for another week of no news or rumblings, the team still has the conference tournament and potentially the NCAA tournament. There will be no post season tournament that isn't the March Madness one.

Moving on from Woodson, the candidate needs to have a name that gets the Boosters out of bed.

He’s on my short list for sure, but I just don’t see it occurring as he seems pretty happy in his current position. However, with revenue sharing and pretty good NIL at Indiana, maybe that take some of the stress of his shoulders in returning. I’d consider Wright a home-run hire, he’s in the Brad Stevens category.

If Beard didn’t have that baggage, he wouldn’t be at Ole Miss right now, that’s all I know.

I rather have Dane Fife than the Clemson fella. I think Dane could be a hell of a HC again somewhere, but family usually does come first so I understand him stepping away from the game for a bit.

Sounds like something I would say, but if you do have the thread links, he was on my short list behind Brad, Billy, and I want to say Fife? Let me know if you find them because I’d like to see my short list again after Crean was dismissed.

He doesn’t have a sexy resume, that’s for sure. In fact, the only reason he’s mentioned is because he’s from Indiana I guess? But again, if Dolson is hiring a guy like that, then we all know the real status of Indiana Basketball.
