Completely agree. No one here would consider him if he wasn't born in Indiana. Hell, I didn't even know his name and I know the CBB landscape.

MARCH 12TH 10:30EST: The board is talking themselves into Ben McCollum. Frankly, I could be talked into it if Brad Stevens and Jay Wright say no. However, I assume Jay Wright would've accepted already and announced if that were the case.

Dolson isn't touching that. Dolson is a clean face kind of guy, probably wants someone who wouldn't hurt a fly. Will Wade will pay someone to hurt a fly.

Fair point, they also hired a former player similar to Woodson at Indiana. Duke and UNC hired former players. I do think that's not discussed enough in terms of college basketball coaching changes nowadays. Folks are retiring and the new era is upon us.

If it gets to that level, we know where Indiana Basketball stands, a meh job with blue blood expectations.

Ben seems like the coach you land at Wisconsin or Iowa and you regret it because they'll play a style of basketball for the next 15 years and they'll be good here and there with some runs in March. It's just not a sexy hire, could be a great hire, could blow up like Archie. If it is indeed a mid-major coach, we'll officially know the Indiana job is simply just not good anymore.

You can argue Pearl on the A list, maybe even Dusty and Beard for making a title game too.

I think it's funny that I may be more upset about the ole-what’s-eez-name hire than the Woodson hire. Honestly at that point I'd give up on the program.
