The G-League team he signs with will own his rights, the NBA team that owns said G-League team will not. He cannot be called up by whatever NBA team owns the G-League team, he will be in the G-League the entire year. To play/sign with a team in the NBA you have to submit yourself through the (NBA) draft. To submit yourself to the draft, you still have to be 1 year removed from graduation of high school. Since he cannot submit himself through the draft until next year, he can't be called up or sign with a NBA team on a 2 way contract or something of that nature. After the year is up, he'll enter next year's draft as usual like any other prospect and go to whatever team drafts him.

He's absolutely not a consistently good defender.

He has way more defensive potential than Gordon but I agree. I could see maybe 18-20 ppg , I'd bet he's low 30s from 3 too. Really hope we get him of course

I think he could struggle in some areas next year. Great scorer though, just not as complete as some top players imo.

I've noticed his shooting mechanics aren't consistent either. Sometimes he barely even jumps when he shoots, sometime he has a more normal shot.

I doubt we'd take Fitzpatrick. We need a CB but I think he's better at Safety and the Colts are pretty strong there. I bet one (maybe 2) of our 2nd rounders is a CB, there's pretty good depth there this year.

at least 1 of Chubb/Barkley/Nelson should be there. I'd be ok with any of them.

Purdue has a lot of talent but they just don't seem to put it together very often.

No we're not. We've made 2 sweet 16s and won 2 conf. titles in the past 6 years. But we're definitely not a top tier program anymore that's for sure.

Newkirk is a senior PG that can't even dribble at an acceptable level. Mind boggling.

I can't believe so many people thought Hartman would have such a profound effect on our team this year. He's always played hard, I'll give him that.

His defense has been awful all year. I like Smith but he has to improve significantly on defense (or offense) if he's going to play big minutes going forward.

Honestly pisses me off that some people blame the 16-20 year old players and not the grown @$$ men perpetuating this.

Hopefully next year is more fun. Can't say I'm not excited to see what we can do without the senior guards.
