His passing is better than I though it'd be but his defense needs some work. Johnson looks much better than Leaf on both ends.

Alize Johnson looks good. His jumper isn't quite there yet but it seems like he has a high basketball IQ. He's hit some Kuzma-esque running hook floaters. Looks like a good passer as well.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to raise his national profile. You have to understand that these kids want to play in the NBA and playing at a high level prep school like Montverde will get him noticed more than if he plays at a Indiana high school. If he balls out at Montverde he could really rise up the recruiting rankings. Like it or not, raising your recruiting ranking has it's benefits, it doesn't mean that he won't want to come here.

His shooting isn't even what's concerning me the most, it's the fact that he can't beat summer league players off the dribble or finish anything in the paint. He's 6'1 with a weak body and mediocre athleticism. It's way too soon to call him a bust but I think Hawks fans should be pretty worried.

He just doesn't have any NBA level skills or attributes. He should have a very solid career overseas though.

Trae Young has looked awful both games. He's had several floaters blocked and can't get past anyone off the dribble. I get it's summer league but I just don't see how he can overcome his size and athletic limitations, at least not early in his career.

I think they need to seriously consider making a hard salary cap with no luxury tax options. Fixed number that you can't go over for any reason.

He took 5.3 million. I know he just had a potentially career altering injury but if star players are willing to make that little to win...

FYI Summer League starts tonight. ATL - MEM on NBA TV right now. JJJ looks great, Trae Young looks real bad save for a few nice passes.

Bronny Jr is only 13. Not a certainty LeBron is still playing by then. Jr still might not turn out to be as good as expected too, it's honestly too soon to tell.

Mo Wagner has the same skill set he has and is more talented. Bryant will definitely have interest but his defense is just awful most of the time. Really lacks the awareness and lateral quickness to defend in the NBA and he doesn't use his huge wingspan well. He played well in the g league, hope he gets a shot, he's only 20 still.

Man look at Trevon Duval. #1 PG coming out of high school, projected lottery pick - just went undrafted 1 year later. A broken jumper and terrible decision maker and couldn't go back to Duke because he got recruited over.

I had the same thought. Pretty sure he's a RFA but I doubt they'll pay him after taking Brunson. Maybe they try to keep him and move on from Seth Curry and/or JJ but idk. If he's gone I hope he gets some decent offers but most teams don't have a lot of cap unfortunately.
