  1. The play never should have happened though. The refs screwed up the out of bounds call. It should have been IU ball, so Morgan shouldn't have even been playing D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Romeo needs to get aggressive on offense. Green can't be the only one attacking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Bad out of bounds call ends up getting Morgan his second foul... Brutal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Now the refs are taking over on both ends Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm not going to complain after it's felt like we've gotten a lot of bad whistles this year, but the refs have been very helpful for us so far. I'm not sure about a couple of these calls against Rutgers so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If we have a heat check guy on the team, it's probably Green. Not saying I want him to become a volume shooter, but he's shown the ability to hit 3s off the bounce and on step backs. When he's in rhythm, he's a good shooter, and I don't really have an issue with 3s early in the shot clock. I'd much rather have him shooting 3s early than Romeo, but Romeo takes a lot more questionable outside shots Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Green is such an enigma. He gets assists on passes that nobody else on the team would even see, and yet he can also make such foolish, sloppy plays. He's been solid the last couple weeks, so hopefully he can keep this up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If Green is shooting with confidence he needs to have the green light. He's the only guy who can really threaten teams from deep Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It could be, but it would be weird to take a shot at the one coach whose team won today. Archie is also coaching the team with the least talent. Romeo's inability to get to the basket against McQuaid should not be an indictment of Archie. Yes, Romeo needs some personal skill development, but not on the finer points of basketball. He needs to improve the basic skills of dribbling and shooting. These are things Romeo should be doing on his own. And I'm sure he is and that he will improve. But there are individual improvents I think a coach should be responsible for, and some that just fall on the shoulders of players. Most of Romeo's offensive issues can be fixed with more reps. I would love to see them tweak his shot too - not bring the ball back so far, which would simplify everything - but I'm not sure that's something he wants to do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ugh. Good look. Gotta make that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Langford needs to be able to get to the hoop with McQuaid on him. That should be a huge mismatch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. As expected, Green and Smith are carrying us [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Our PG defense has been really good today. Rob has been really good on Winston and Green has gotten his hand on a never of balls Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. This is the main reason I think replacing him with TJD next year won't be a big deal. Morgan is a better offensive player than TJD will be as a freshman, but he frequently gets abused on defense. I expect TJD to be a positive there versus Morgan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I was referring to Jake's dad, not posters on the site. I know parents are of course going to be biased, but Jake does not deserve minutes right now, and I'm assuming his dad is upset Smith is playing over him. I like Jake and think his athleticism and energy will make him a useful piece, but he's completely outmatched whenever he's on the court right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Not liking Smith as a player is fine and mostly correct, but none of the young bigs have shown anything to suggest they should play over him. Jake needs to add so much strength before he can play in the big 10. Does anybody actually think that things would have been better if Jake/Moore/Fitzner were getting Smith's 30 minutes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Alford was this bad in a worse conference with better players Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm not against running an offensive set. My point was more that either way we should have gotten a great shot because of the defensive matchup. The reason we didn't is solely on Romeo. He was being guarded by a big slow guy. Taking a step back was the worst possible play Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I imagine it would have happened sooner, but Race and Davis just recently got healthy. There were no other options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don't have an issue with him not passing, but his shot was terrible. They got the switch they wanted and he had Garza on him. He should never pass in that situation but should attack him off the dribble and get to the rim. He can get a step back 3 against anybody Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yep. We expected Romeo to be transcendent, and instead he's just been very good. That's on us as fans for setting expectations too high. He's having a very good freshman year, just not on Zion or Barrett's level, which is what we were hoping for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Who do you play over him? Rob was hurt. And Green was better than Al today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. What subs did you have issues with? Seemed like we had pretty good lineups out, or as good as we are going to get with this team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. He was wide open Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Especially when being guarded by Garza Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
