  1. There’s plenty of open space to put in new seats at Memorial Stadium. I’d imagine any new capacity would not get in the way of existing seating or involve changing the current seating (i.e., replacing bleachers with seats). A new press box with suites would also be built around the existing structure, so there should be minimal impact to the fan experience if that’s our next improvement. For reference, Penn State is currently doing a complete overhaul of their stadium, and they’re still playing games there.
  2. We’re the victims of every other school being moronic. Case in point - University of Oklahoma is “OU,” University of Nebraska is “NU.” I actually find it offensive to our university and program; not that everyone’s getting it wrong as much as they’re lumping us in there with schools that haven’t won a football NC in over 25 years.
  3. George Costanza decided to go with the cheap glue.
  4. They’re tired of losing money on people taking IU. 2020 was another season where Vegas was completely off and folks cleaned up.
  5. He will never have to pay for Pizza X breadsticks again. Wishing him all the best. Him and his teammates have created generational memories for all of us.
  6. He’s quickly becoming Tim Tebow with NFL-level skills.
  7. Here’s our season
  8. I’m going to miss the IUFB sideline bell curve pattern (not). I’m going to miss going to home games for $25 (kind of). But this is a fair trade.
  9. Nick Saban’s takes have been dogs!t this entire season. And if the greatest, smartest, and most accomplished college football mind can’t tell his @$$ from his face when assessing IUFB under Cignetti, then there aren’t any pundits whose opinions are worth two cents (sans College Football with Sam, BuffedinPrime, and maybe Joel Klatt). I’ve already forgotten who won the championship 8 years ago. This team/season will be talked about for decades, maybe longer, because this was bigger than the game (to use a cliche). We just pantsed a billion dollar industry with a ballsier performance than Babe Ruth calling his own shot. They can hate us all they want, make up whatever excuses they want, etc. The fact remains that there isn’t a single coach in this sport’s history who could’ve done what Cignetti did. All these programs that have poured hundreds of millions into their teams, sold out 100k stadiums for decades, and then here comes little old Indiana winning a championship before many of them, and one that was purely settled on the field. We didn’t get a narrative bump to make the playoffs. We didn’t duck anyone on our path. We didn’t have any luck on our side or benefit from an opponent’s injury to a star player. We didn’t cheat. There were no questionable calls that went our way. We weren’t a bubble team that got hot at the end. And the real kicker is we did it with 0-3 star recruits, all while playing a longer season and more arduous schedule than any champion in history. This isn’t supposed to happen, but it also wasn’t a fluke. I think most casual CFB fans were behind us on this one. But the ones that weren’t, and probably for the reasons you stated, they can make all of the excuses they want to. Nothing like this will ever happen again in CFB, even if Cig wins another one here.
  10. Welcome to my NCAA Football 2008 dynasty season.
  11. We’re literally a beehive fan base that if poked will spill out everywhere.
  12. Maybe we should stop hiring coaches; have the AD buy a team, just let trainers and GAs run practices, and let OpenAI manage our in game rotations and sets.
  13. Great video and I’m very sorry to hear about your wife (and for missing that if you’ve shared it elsewhere). This season has been about so much more than just football, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the university, the team, the students, alumni, the state, and overall fan base. There has been so much pent up jubilation for all of us these last few decades. Let’s bring it home on Monday.
  14. I think tickets have already bottomed out at this point…
  15. The other thing that people need to remember with the secondary markets is that the seller is probably selling a ticket listed at $3000 for only $2500 (plus $500 in “service fees”). I know this is common knowledge but at these prices it’s all amplified. So if you’re waiting for listed prices to drop below $2000, from the seller’s perspective they’re already selling it at that price.
