Honestly all the coaches that were let go all had the same problem (except Sampson). They were all too stubborn to change tactics. Seems too common with most coaches but it would be nice to have a coach to think that hey our plan is not working, let's change it up.

I think most of us are at the stage of acceptance where we know that we're not really going anywhere with Coach Woodson and hope the rest of our fanbase doesn't linger too long so that we can move on. You can get all the recruits in the world but if they can't develop and the coach is too stubborn to change his patterns then we gotta make a change. We know what this is. It's a different coach but we have the same problems. I wish we could fire the IU administration (not all coaches obviously ) top to bottom.

As a realist I can say we're not being played. It's a kid. Can you blame him? To him this is the most important decision in his young life. He's not leaking anything and hasn't teased. He's doing it the right way and I believe we won't get him. It's Ok, it happens. As a guy whose work basically entails being a realist, I can say that your focus of why IU has stunk the past thirty years is not recruit orientated but administrative. Focus on that instead. Not enough new blood there. Just a bunch of yes men/women and people who want job security who don't want to take logical chances in and out of the field.

That butt whooping we received from Stanford is why we're ranked the way we are. It's justified. If we beat Iowa that goes up but if it's close expect that ranking to stay the same going into the tournament.

If a meteor hits our planet and an IU basketball player survives , I have no doubt that there will be a few IU fans alive to root for the player to progress the evolutionary process.

This is the tough part of living in the south and being raised in NY. The reality is the fans aren't to blame at all with IU. The Duke and UNC crowd is a whole lot worse. I won't mention what but let's just we have have bodyguards near the coaches homes and someone to evaluate the mail for a reason. As a New Yorker we demand and push for better. Problem in NY is that a lot teams are run by old money so naturally they're incompetent. Even then, turn over is required because even owners feel the heat from time to time. This is one of those rare instances that IU hires people within a certain circle and shocker they fail time and time again. There's no accountability compared to other regions. No avenue for new ideas. I think Coach Cig might break the mold though because if he implements the Saban (Parcells tree line) style of running a club, then things might get done.
