Listen the point still stands though. I think if you look at how many rape kits are unopened and how lenient judges have been (remember the Stanford swimmer who got off easy because the judge said " he had promise"- got caught red handed by two guys in alley) and reality is that in most cases it's a he said vs she said situation.... I mean congrats on being a guy and thinking there's no correlation I guess. I'm also a guy who was wrongly accused at one time but you know what there's data that shows it's far worse for women. In a society were manhood by many is defined by your count or the type of women you get.... u don't think that leads to bad situations with a person typically much stronger than the female partner? It's unfortunate when well meaning guys get wrongly accused but that's no reason to excuse a very glaring problem leaning towards women. If you know any well balanced women, talk to them. Any smart women probably has an emergency buddy to call the cops if they don't hear from them within a certain time period. Typically guys don't have to think like that. It doesn't hurt to have empathy while still acknowledging that yeah sometimes good guys get caught in the crossfires.

All I know is that team went toe to toe with a Arizona team that beat the junk out of us last year. Two overtimes they never looked out of their league and stayed composed. Plus the spacing they had with each other was a sight to see.

Yeah the women issue is a big deal. Can't expect a university with some standards to employ someone like that. Otherwise I'm all in for hiring anyone that gives us a way better chance of winning.

This and an actual shooting guard. I will say this that we do this and retain Mgbako it could be our first time in like forever that we have a team that has quality and depth with no gaping holes. This year to me is about development. I want Cupps to be able to shoot a jumper by the end of the year. Also need Banks to get more comfortable and in control of his actions.

Let me clarify. I agree let's hope the committee agrees as well. Before last weekend though we definitely had that label as a poor conference.

I just think many things can be true with this team. 1. This is a team that hasn't seen its peak by a far margin. We knew that coming in. 2.Yet even though we might be awesome by the end of the season it might be too late. Unless we're top 3 or maybe 4 in the big ten that puts us on the outside looking in. This past weekend the Big ten had good wins but the committee might hate us like they hate FSU in football. 3. The key to see how the program moves forward is if one Queen and a couple legit shooting guards join the recruiting class. In the past a sudden lack of quality or depth of commitments was a tell if the program was in neutral or stalled and two try to offer a ton of money so that Mgbako stays another year so we don't have a gap that we need to address next year. Ware I presume is gone but if IU needs to turn a corner we somehow have to keep Mgbako (like Filipowski stayed in duke). We're at that moment we're we might revert to what we've been used to the past 25 years or take a leap forward. I hope it works out.
