I will be watching the IU BB game somewhere in Santa Clara. Just booked everything for my parents and wife and I! I went to the Pinstripe last year. Couldn't pass up another opportunity.

I thought Yogi graduated last year? That was his move that always made me scream at the TV. :) -
#11 IU vs #2 Kansas Game Thread

I am annoyed right now, but that is the least of what I am annoyed with. :) -
What is absolutely crazy about this, is that you could maybe argue it the last couple of years, when we led a lot of the offensive statistics in the B1G Hard to do that this year, when our offense's best statistical ranking is about 4th in the conference. The offense has not shown the ability to really bust the big play like we have in the past; so if we are stealing the signals and know what the defense is going to do, then our offense really sucks!

I don't know about boating season. I sold mine a couple of years ago. It is that time of the year, though, when I tell myself. "Don't get excited. You do this to yourself every year. Get all pumped up, and then spend two months depressed." That being said. Spending last X-mas in NYC watching IU play football was a blast, and I REALLLLLLY want to go some place warm this year!

I hate to plug another website, but here is a link to entire Wilson talk: You will need a twitter account. :)

I feel the same way.

Q: What has to change on the defensive side? A: We have created a standard on the offense that we haven't established on the other. (That is true.) I thinks we have the staff now to create the same culture on defense that we have on offense.
-
Question is about letting games slip away. Wilson: I don't think we are giving games away. ???????? He says I think it is more about belief, the more you believe the more you win. I think our team realizes that if we play hard we have the chance to win, and we have the chance to make the one more score to win a close game.

Talking about the camps in the state right now. I didn't know he did those camps for free for in state kids. That is pretty cool.

Pretty nice pre season write up on the offensive capabilities of the team from last year. Even with a new QB I think we will be good. We are done rebuilding on offense, we are simply reloading. I am hoping for some defensive improvements to get us at least to the 6 win level again this year.
-
I guess I just kind of discount the variables. :) I am at a point that less than 6 wins is not going to be successful season. We need to have turned the corner from losing! The D certainly can't be any worse than it has been. The running game should once again be outstanding. Diamont has proven himself to be serviceable. Just not sure how durable. The receiving corp is going to be good. The variables should not keep us from 6 wins. Hell, I really want to go to New York again over Christmas. That was an absolute blast last year..

Saw an article this morning from the Crimson Quarry discussing IU's win total for next year. Vegas has the O/U at 4.5 games. Thoughts? Here are my predictions: @Florida International W Ball State W Wake Forest W Michigan State L @Ohio State L Nebraska L @Northwestern L Maryland W @Rutgers W Penn State L @Michigan L Purdue W That puts at 6 wins and hopefully another bowl. I think the key games in the L column are Nebraska and Northwestern. I would like to say Penn State as well since it is at home. I think the big key is that there are 5 winnable games right in the middle of the season. I am really hoping for a W against Nebraska. Hate to make the long drive down from Wisconsin for a loss. :)

Troy Williams | SF | Indiana Hoosiers Instead of trying to show scouts he can play within an offense and make good decisions, Williams was his wildly unpredictable self. He was out on the floor chucking shots with abandon, not particularly looking for teammates and generally tried to do too much. He also didn't test at the elite level athletically many around the league anticipated and has relatively short arms. There's definitely a player within his package of skills but he must get his more wild tendencies under control. But right now, it's tough to see a team investing a draft pick in him. Link to article Certainly not a very good endorsement.

I hope that someday we have enough demand for tickets that they have to start cramming everyone together! That would be a GREAT problem to have.

whether he hires an agent immediately, or not. I am thinking he is probably doing the right thing. I don't see him making an NBA team. but going over seas, will allow him to work on his game all the time, and he will make some money.

IU Basketball: Who is leaving? Who is staying?
jmsgws replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I hadn't realized the state of Alaska had legalized drugs. :) -
Not a mod, but criticism is one thing. Out and out bashing is something entirely different. The one thing that none of us have ever had a reason to question; is Tom Crean the man. Accusing him of incest is just a smidge over the line. :)

A Final Analysis on the 2015-16 Hoosiers
jmsgws replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Nice write up to end the season Terry. In an earlier thread you asked about the season, and I said it basically comes down to the way it ends. Like you I didn't think IU played that badly, though the score doesn't reflect that. So I guess I will call this a good season. I like your take on Crean and the coaching job. I think he really did learn and change a lot this year. -
"Winless, burning down an orphanage on Christmas Eve, doesn't matter, this AD will always give him another chance." This made me think your belief is that Glass will never get rid of Crean. A Good Coach wins Coach of the Year in the B1G. A good coach brings back a couple of conference championships. A good coach makes it to the Sweet 16 3 times in five years. Crean has the resume to be considered a good coach. I think we both want a great coach. I don't think Crean is that coach, but I am a firm believer that "good" is all we are going to get until "great" becomes available.
-
I don't think you are correct there. I think Fred Glass wants to succeed as much as every other fan. However, he also has to manage the entire athletic department. After the team woke up they had a pretty good year. There is no reason to let him go. I also think that Glass knows Crean is a good coach, and until there is someone obviously better, he is not going to make a move. Now if Mr Glass offers an extension this year, my tune will change. :)

I have tried accepting them, but it still shows up on every page, and I have to click accept or block each time the page refreshes.
