(2025) - PF Eric Reibe to UConn
Demo replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Per Schumann, Reibe’s OV is now 9/20, so the same weekend as Mullins and Sisley -
Alright, the day has gotten miles better. Just bought tickets to see the great Bob Mould doing a solo electric show on the 22nd at a wonderful little venue called Delmar Hall. Seats maybe 500 and has spectacular sound. Dude is sixty couple and still one of the true bada$$es in music. Great, great songwriter. Smoking guitarist. Relentless iconoclast. Love that guy. An all-time favorite.

The staff is 4 deep at La Lumiere right now for Haralson, per Rabby. -
In the lead up to his OV the staff is visiting Brown either Wednesday or Thursday, per Schumann. I could be completely full of it, but I get the feeling that other than maybe Haralson this may be the kid Woody actually wants the most. By his standards he’s put a ton of his personal time into Brown. Watched him at least 4 times in the last 2 summers. I believe he watched his Friday OTE game during ASG weekend. In a couple of interviews Brown hasn’t talked about talking to any Assistants. He talks about talking to Woody. He feels very invested here in a way that’s not usually the deal.

Maybe you actual players around here knew what a Chapman Stick was. I did not. Can’t get over the purity of the tone. Incredible. What a pleasure to listen to.

This Mich St- Florida Atlantic game is…..awful. A minute into the 2nd qtr and there’ve been combined 3 to’s and a safety. 2-0 MSU.

https://x.com/MarchMadnessMBB/status/1828833642095022349 You could probably throw a blanket over the 1st 3. UCLA-USC is probably the only 1 that just looks dead wrong.

My favorite example is Payton Pritchard dropping a hundred in the Portland summer league. The difference between those guys and even really good HS and college players is the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing it:

So you were in a Costco in south Florida? Tell me, how many grannies did you have elbow out of the way to get to a deal that choice? In my experience they are relentless. -
https://www.on3.com/nil/news/faizon-brandon-mother-sues-north-carolina-board-of-education-nil-tennessee-volunteers-quarterback-recruit/ Not sure where to put this but this seems like as good a thread as any. The family of a 5-star ‘26 QB committed to Tennessee is suing in North Carolina because apparently it’s 1 of 11 states in the country that doesn’t allow HS kids to profit from NIL without forfeiting eligibility. My favorite part is that it only applies to public school kids. Private school kids? Profit your a$$es off.

As on court product goes I agree, for the most part. Putting the shear basketball piece aside, de facto college free agency has changed what most players mean to programs. But I still feel like there are some kids that for different reasons just matter more. Not solely for their talent, but also for what they say about the program and the public perception that they feed. You can't miss on those kids. My all-time example is Greg Oden. Davis couldn't miss on him. Just couldn't. Didn't matter what it took. He missed on him and he went from embattled coach to dead man walking. If he signs him he's not gone in '06. Archie wasn't everyone's guy, but he got a massive boost from signing Langford, which he of course squandered. Not saying Haralson is a comp to those guys, though if he'd stayed at Fishers and won a State he might be close, but he's a big-time local kid with a spectacular offer list that they've put years into. Missing on him just looks bad. That, and I think he's fantastic. I think he's good enough to be a top 2 option on a final 4 team. Long way of saying: Woody, make this happen, please. -
