  1. Actually, if you do the math, IUs average record over the last 20 years is 19-14. So this season was an average season for IU bball. Pretty sad stuff.
  2. We all want to blame the coach, understandably so. But if you look at the yearly records over the last 20 years, 18-14 is sort of what IU has been.
  3. If Wes Miller gets fired, throw out an offer Thiam can't refuse
  4. The roster deficiencies were obvious from the start of the season. If someone wanted to waste a lot of time, skimming the game threads from some of the pre-conference games against P4 teams would surely reveal thematic concerns. Concerns centered around athleticism, perimeter defense, and rebounding. On the plus side, the shooting was better than recent seasons.
  5. I said nothing of their personal lives. You are just making stuff up now. You think they are above criticism, I dont. Lets disagree and move on.
  6. Sounds like a lot of excuses. The minute college athletes started making big money and transferring in unrestricted free agency, they sacrificed the benefit of the doubt on stuff like this.
  7. Kids who make 1.5 million dollars to play a game. Should the CEO of a failing mid-size company (roughly similar annual salary) be above criticism because of feelings? And they arent kids BTW. They make money, pay taxes, vote, own cars and homes. They are young, but they are adults.
  8. I'm no expert, but there seems to be a little too much faith from the fan base that Carr will be the difference.
  9. Most of them shouldn't have worn the jersey tbh
  10. Tucker Devries' Thursday night 30+ YMCA men's league athleticism.
  11. Indiana fans: "He can't possibly be as bad as Archie or Woodson!" Devries: "Hold my beer!"
  12. Devries first year coaching a P4 program: 19-13, 10-10 - bubble team Devries second year coaching a P4 program 18-14, 9-11 - bubble team I'm suprised we are all suprised.
  13. We fired Sampson. We passed on Dusty May to keep Woodson one more year. IU bball is cursed by terrible decision makers from the top down.
  14. Northwestern has nothing left to play for this year. Indiana has the season on the line. And NW still wants it more.
  15. Having a friend on the coaching staff, I've followed UC basketball for the last couple of seasons. I've been a fan of IU basketball my whole life. As frustrating as its been over the last 25 years, it may be more frustrating trying to root for the Bearcats. Today encapsulated the last few years of Wes Miller coached teams. They truly snatched defeat from the hands of victory. Complete collapse over the last 4 minutes of regulation. TO called with 0.8 seconds left in regulation in a tie game, after dribbling around in the back court for 15 seconds. Baba Miller ghosted today too.
  16. If IU was consistently relevant on the national basketball scene, those titles would matter more. But the shine from those national championships is becoming dimmer and dimmer with each passing year of irrelevance. If IU doesn't figure out how turn the program around, perhaps someday in the not so distant future, those titles will be seen like the Ivy League college football titles of the early 20th century.
  17. I get that its an Indiana board and taking shots at Purdue is standard procedure, but Purdue is basically what we all wish IU would be - consistently competing for Big 10 titles, safely inside the tourney field every year as a top 4 seed, and occasionally making a deep run.
  18. Thanks. If they beat TCU it looks like they'd likely be the 8 seed playing in the 8/9 matchup with the winner playing Arizona. If, big if, they beat the 9 seed and then Arizona, that would be 4 ranked wins including a 1 seed, likely 2 seed ISU, 4/5 seed Kansas, and BYU. All of those would have come in the last 2 months of the season and 3 in the last 3 weeks. That doesn't erase the poor earlier season performances, but it would be a really good argument to get them in. Edit: actually they'd either be the 6 or 7 seed with a win against TCU. That would put them playing either the 2 or 3 seed if they win their first game. Still another potential ranked win.
  19. USPS can you give a breakdown on where Cincinnati stands in the bubble? They've been playing great but had so much ground to make up. Obviously they need to beat TCU, but then what do they need in the Big 12 tourney?
  20. You're a sicko watching early round mid major conf tournament games on Wednesday afternoons. Lol, I love it though.
  21. Cincinnati is playing really good basketball over the last 4 weeks. I wouldn't want to play them right now.
  22. There are so many teams better than this IUBB team this season. Its like Groundhog Day every season.
