  1. I think their rivals site is the most active
  2. I mean, that doesn't really tell me anything about their games and why Romeo is so much better than Garland. And yes, having an elite point guard for multiple years on your team is a huge difference. Example: Yogi.
  3. I really don't agree with this at all. Both are great players. Wanting one of them for two years instead of having the other for one is definitely a legit position to take, especially when PG is a bigger position of need. I get the whole "taking over the state" perspective. I do. But what 5 star is going to come to IU because Romeo did? Most of them are independent decision makers. Romeo will only be here one year, and they won't play with him. Is there anything you can point to about their play on the court that makes Romeo that much bigger of a get than Garland?
  4. Alex Sherrill. He does really good work
  5. No idea what went behind his selection, but part of me thinks he saw/heard the same thing as Daniels, looked at IU vs Vandy, and concluded IU based on us being a blue blood. Just my 2 cents. ill start believing the crystal ball when's it's a couple days from his announcement.
  6. Add in that a couple people are saying Jerome is a 5 star talent..man we could be really, really good next year.
  7. Rabjohns has said multiple times they aren't a package deal. They both may like IU and Vandy, but not because the other is interested in both. They also both may go to the same school, but they're making independent decisions.
  8. Vandy is a Nike school, just saying :)
  9. It's behind a paywall. But he did say it. Things are looking pretty good!
  10. Figured this would be the case. Hopefully the hometown school doesn't win out this time. also, coincidence that those are 2 of Romeo's top schools? :)
  11. Fair point. I won't pretend to know Vandy's roster, but I'm sure Bryce will play them up to Darius and tell him he's the missing piece. To come in and be the star they need. I'm sure it helps that they're the home school and his mom works there as well. Tough to get a read on this recruitment, but I think it's down to 3 or 4 out of IU, Duke, Vandy, and UK. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to any of those schools.
  12. For me it's Vandy. He'll be *the* guy for them. I don't think any other school can really offer that for him, even us. I can see your point though with UK coming in and telling him NBA after 1 year.
  13. Not long. He'll get an offer from a bigtime school soon.
  14. That's quite a ways off. Interesting
  15. Nearly had a seizure opening the thread and seeing this first..
  16. I meant recruits coming in, not currently on the team. They'll be good this year but I expect a significant drop off the following year.
  17. I don't think you should be concerned about Purdue. They've got 2 commits outside the top 100 and another possibility in Hunter who is also outside the top 100. We've got players already that are better than any of theirs and looking to add Romeo and Garland. Purdue is the least of our worries.
  18. I could be totally wrong on this, but I think I read something around the time both Ostrom and Schilling were hired that we better enjoy them while we have them. Both have head coaching aspirations if I remember correctly.
  19. Bozich and Quinn talked a little bit about Hunter in that exchange and both think he could be a 5 star talent. I definitely agree with them
  20. To add to this, Brian Snow said that he received a text saying we made up some major ground from this home visit and that we'll be in this until the end. Definitely sounds encouraging!
  21. I have a great feeling about this recruitment. Trendon understands the magic of Assembly Hall and IU basketball more than any other recruit we are looking at. He won't get that at Alabama..
  22. This won't be his only visit. Others have said that he'll be on IU's campus a few times before he makes his decision. Probably take in a couple games this season.
  23. Another Interview with Jake Interesting note, Jake retook his sophomore year after transferring schools. I also heard from the Kent Sterling interview that Jake said he was 18. He's definitely older for his grade.
