The problem I have with the most recent gaslight attempt by Team Shill is that there is zero chance this is a recent development. He either has been getting threats to his person for a minute, or he has not gotten them at all. If he had gotten credible (or not credible) threats last year they would have been screeching about it and pointing at the fanbase within microseconds of it occurring. He didn't just start to suck. Fans willing to do that kind of thing did not just become unhinged. Nothing about the burner history says they would have kept that close to the vest if it had happened. Which makes me take the current accusation with a giant grain of salt. And even though I should not have to qualify it: At no time is it appropriate for this kind of behavior, and credible threats should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

We are an absolute clown show.

I’m sure the dweebs will have a bunch of Woody chants they’re convinced are clever too. We’re gonna get nuked. I’m hoping we somehow play inspired and keep it respectable at 15 or less. This has all the hallmarks of an epic beat down.

My main confusion is that if he is a lame duck, which I believe, why not announce the removal/resignation/abdication of throne/whatever they want to call it to protect his feelings will happen end of season. Why are we pretending like the obvious isn’t going to happen. The only thing that comes to mind is that Dolson can’t. That’s more why I thought the original comment meant record doesn’t matter.

I’d also wager half my salary every coach that sucks at every big program since the invention of the US Postal Service has gotten them. Every fan base has piece of crap fans. It is what it is. Calipari had a Lexington PD officer whose job was to post up at his house at the end FFS. Doesn’t make it right, but it’s the truth. It’s simply an unfortunate reality of human nature.

I guess I look at him defending himself from essentially being called a liar differently than initiating the interaction because you have some odd annoyance with people who enjoy the information/feel the need to make a comment about the authenticity of the information. Taking it at face value literally means you don’t have to believe it, simply keep scrolling.

Why does someone dropping a few nuggets of info that make other people happy and/or engage with the topic bother you? There are other threads to hang out in. Posts like this serve no purpose than to belittle folks who enjoy the information and a person in @Chris007 who isn’t under any obligation to share. He does it out of kindness for those of us not connected to Bloomington at all or the program.

How is it? I’m just not sure I could see myself paying money for something like that, particularly when no one knows who it’s actually supporting/Trilly identity. Plus, if it weren’t for the BTB ads I would never know the latest in bra technology for plus size women. For some reason, the algorithm thinks I am a middle aged lady.

Let’s be clear, most of us knew we were toast before last season ended when it was made known Woody was going to be retained. I wasn’t the least bit surprised by the B4A outcome. I was surprised by how bad we looked getting to said outcome though Nobody being honest and objective thought we would make any noise even with this roster we purchased. That said, we’ve actually been worse even than what I expected which is a testament to our coaching staff, impressive stuff honestly. To fail this absurdly with the talent on this team actually takes effort lol

Please Don’t do that. There are far more of us who appreciate the info and have enough brain cells to rub together to know it’s never going to be gospel.

We’ve been completely unserious from the moment Mike Woodson was hired to coach basketball. Nothing about the “process” has anything to do with winning basketball games. It’s about appeasing two program legends. Full stop. No one is saying he has to be fired right now, simply make the retirement announcement and let him finish the year. He probably gets cheered on senior night. Instead, we are supposed to believe this administration is fine with the optics of angry or empty Assembly Hall for the rest of the season? Don’t hire unqualified program legends in the first place. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

Feel free to skewer me, but I would take this entire team back with a competent coach. Every player on this roster has shown flashes of what they were advertised to be, they’re just being mismanaged at an unfathomable level.

Or Woody could say, protect his player who is clearly hearing it and playing like a bag of busted donuts and not sub him right back in like 30 seconds later. And as I have said repeatedly I am anti booing players. Sending him back to the table in that situation was coaching malpractice at the college level.

I’ve been to a lot of college campuses and Gainesville is probably #2 behind Btown for me. It’s Btown with tropical weather lol, I nearly went for grad school. It was on the short list. Very cool place.

I still think he’s 100% gone, but it’s hard not to see some tomfoolery that has @Hornsby so concerned. If you’re really waiting for worse “optics” it is curious what happens if the inverse happens and he rattles off a bunch of really good wins. Feels like a potential two way street. Although I personally think the bar for saving his job is way too high to reach, but the “need” for bad losses to justify it internally does make you wonder.
