As one of the old guys, I am probably a little more in Woodson's corner than most. I loved watching him as a player and I love him back home. I have no idea where he will end up on the coaches list at IU, but if I were a betting man, I'd put my money on him. We are going to lose games, maybe a lot of them. But I trust in the principles that he wants to instill long term. He has accomplished enough to be really proud. Yet he wants to be here and take on a challenge when he has nothing left to prove. And, I love how the kids seemingly to respond to him. Yeah, I think we have the right guy.

His demeanor is perfect for this team. He is firm and demanding but not manic or aloof like some coaches have been. I just think that he is the right guy at the right time to build a foundation for this program.

Short turnaround, Thanksgiving break coming up, and no energy in the building. This is about what I expected. We are getting minutes for guys who will be counted on down the road.

I love the optimism and really like this team. It's nowhere near its ceiling and has lots of room to grow. And, this year, I think it will. But, I'm not ready to go that far yet.

This team has guys with an edge. Haven't had that for a while. JG is growing in confidence by the game. Bates carries himself like an upperclassman already. Lander is settling in and ran the team the way he is capable of. Some of the turnovers were the result of guys being aggressive and trying to make plays. I can live with that. I really like this team.

That's not remotely funny....but funny just the same.

Wait, are we still playing football?

I get it. By strictly coincidence, I was on campus in the spring of '76. Great times. Lived and died with every game for years. I'm much older and more mellow with a bunch of grandkids now. I still get excited and pumped watching, but not to the extent I once did. But then again, I'm loving the beginning of the Woodson era.

Great news! Can't wait to see the young man back on the floor.

Classic!

I thought at times in the second half that the defense was a little slow to react. Like a little of the urgency was missing. We were also getting beat to loose balls quite a bit. That said, CMW seemed pretty pleased with the defense in his post game interview. So, what do I know.

Agree on the free throws. That has to get better, especially end of game when fouling becomes a strategy.

Let's not forget that we have a lot of new pieces. It will take time to get everyone acclimated and into consistent roles. Tonight everyone kept fighting and pulled out the win. I'll take that and move on to the next one.

I want to see a focused, relentless team that is intent on re-establishing Assembly Hall as a place opposing teams go to lose. Tired of teams disrespecting our house.

Congratulations! I really mean it.....but this is where I usually start with the lawyer jokes. Since you are an IU guy, I'll let it slide....this time.

Based on the early results, our team is not in a bad place. In CMW I trust.

I think that by later in the season that will be the floor from three. The guys we brought in to shoot the three haven't arrived yet.

In what order?

There is more than enough coaching talent on the bench to figure this team out. These early games will reveal things that practice won't. This team will learn and get better because I believe we have the right people leading the program. Patience is our friend right now.

PU has accumulated an embarrassing amount of talent. They're going to be good for a while.

Might be a good thing that I can't watch on Friday. I don't need this kind of aggravation at my age twice in one week.

Everything needs work.

Looks like we are a "bombs away" team this year.
