  1. Same. Sadly, even though I love IU, a Stanford degree is pretty powerful Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Thanks, I would keep the inside information coming your way if that happens Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Especially since we are and could moving forward have one or more open scholarships Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. I think I agree with you and if you feel differently it’s because I didn’t state my stance clearly. My stance is that we should offer him. Worst comes to worst he ends up being our 12th best player. So what? He seems worth the risk even with a coach that has 15 scholarships accepted let alone one that only has 11. Why not is my opinion Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. I think we are in agreement in theory but I don’t see you actually allotting for said contingencies. You outlined 8 players that could/should be in rotation however that assumes hunter plays at all which is completely up in the air and that non of the other 7 get hurt which will no doubt happen. That seven could quickly become 5 with little to no depth. I know it sounds negative to think that way but it is just a reality that players get hurt and hunter is a wildcard. That hypothetical 5 also includes a guy that sat out half of last season with a torn Achilles. I just don’t see the advantage of saving 2 scholarships unless we just cannot get anyone better than a walk on quality player and if that is the case we are in deep **** Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. That’s fair but I think about it this way. There will always be injuries and there will always be misses. I think it best to have 10 legit, healthy players for depth, insurance and also building. If you only have 11 to start with that leaves very little room for any of those aforementioned things. 7. 100% agree. This seems to be the type of kid that you use that 12th or 13th scholarship on. I said something similar before and was essentially told by others here that if we treated him like the 12th or 13th scholarship he wouldn’t come. The point is more that if we would normally leave a scholarship or two open, this is the type of kid that is worth taking a chance on and using one of those. If he panned out, great, we got a hard working in-state contributor. If not, so what, it was going to go unused and now e have a hard working gym rat practice player Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. If there was we wouldn’t be arguing about dumb ****. Hope he commits soon so we can build accordingly. It has to make it easier for coaches when they have an early commit or two Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. In terms of class balance, there is a real possibility of only having one player in this class in a few years. TJD likely not around in the later years and hunter cannot be counted on. And in regards to getting what you need, we needed a knock down shooter at any position and we didn’t get that. That was our biggest glaring hole and didn’t fill it. We can talk all we want about returning players hopefully improving their shot but you can’t count on players being average shooters for 19 years all of a sudden figuring it out. One is better off finding players that have proven they are great shooters and bringing them in and we didn’t. So, I think it is fair to have some concerns about recruiting, especially since mid season this past year. Still hopeful and plenty of time to land some good pieces but to think there aren’t yellow flags flying is ignoring the facts Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. This season jaded me a bit too. That losing streak was hard to swallow. It not only killed our chances at a successful season but took the wind out of our sails from a momentum and excitement standpoint. The hardest part was watching us go through the motions with little effort and drive. So when we are recruiting guys that are known for being competitors like Galloway I am super excited. He won’t set the world on fire if he committed but I think he would be a great piece for us and set us in the right direction Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. We need the tough nosed 4 year guys that PU gets plus the top 50 guys IU should get to form a megateam Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. I’m thinking a bit taller version of Chris Kramer. The type of kid that just finds ways to contribute and that other teams can’t stand Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. This would be one of those pickups that pays out for 4 years Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Lil Romeo afterall Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Yeah, I just don’t see how it is humanly possible to gain 30lbs and the lose like 45lbs all in a 2 month time period. That is essentially what would have needed to happen here for him to put it on post end of season/end of school year and then not only lose that weight but additional weight. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. I appreciate it as I believe most do. Keep it coming. Just an ironic post since some pics were shared last week of him where everyone called out how slim he looked is all Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. That would be disappointing if true but find it hard to believe based on the numerous pictures that don’t show that. I don’t think he is an nba guy but if he had a great and healthy senior year he could make some nice money overseas like hulls and a few others Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. He put on 30lbs since that pic of him and Brunk came out where he looked to super thin? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Whitney young... he would be an anomaly to not be on the take Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. This bear was poked already in the previous pages - answers there too Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. If hunter is healthy we will have one of the biggest front lines in the conference at 6’8”, 6’9”, 6’10” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. The game is no longer about brute strength and bulk, it’s now about speed and space. This change has been happening for a long time. Even when the game was more about brute strength, guys like Allen Iverson and Reggie Miller we’re crushing it and now that the game has changed, guys like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are crushing it. The more you slim down the more you are able to make it through a full season. It’s hard on your body carrying extra weight. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Yeah, I didn’t understand that comment either. They pretty much invented the 2000’s version of cheating Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. It was to me and I second his answer. I don’t want to act like I know either of them but from what I have seen, read and been told, Galloway is charlie hustle, the AJ Moye/Dane Fife offspring. That doesn’t mean Leal doesn’t hustle/make plays but it doesn’t mean Hornsby didn’t but when I separate Moye and Fife I think you know how they were a bit more gritty than the next guy Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Would love to see a homestead kid on our roster! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
