I just mean, it was pretty obvious he was choosing IU towards the end and even before the final weeks, there were a lot of people and sources saying IU was in the lead. I appreciate inside information if it is truly that and it adds value, like complimentary to what is already out there. What does right mean? I just think jumping on board on a recruitment that is/has been heading in one direction for a long time and then constantly during and no doubt will be afterwards saying I told you so is annoying and every bit his MO. Just about every coach, player, fan, recruiting expert has had TJD going to IU for a very long time. It would be something of importance if someone with connections made a hard line stance that he wasn’t and was headed to MSU or UCLA or something. I didn’t see the same progress others saw last season. Without pulling up the schedule and stats, I recall us starting sooo poorly that the only place to go was up. We started looking better and won some games but we then faltered down the stretch and flamed out to a terrible Rutgers team to end a very frustrating season. This season is starting out very frustrating as well but the difference is a few more wins which make it more palatable but the product on the floor is still very rough to put it nicely. I am just not seeing what our identity is yet. Agreed on a 1 game basis but in this young season we have played poorly 3 games in a row and do not seem to be getting better at the most rudimentary parts of the game like free throws, layups and passing. You are 100% correct but it always shocks me that’s the description of him. 25 years ago I think most would have thought he was going to be a great coach but ok recruiter. I really doubt that. These kids are in the best shape of their lives and even heard Jalen Rose say that at the halftime of the duke/Gonzaga game. Duke plays 7 like IU was forced to and they do it by choice. They also had a big second half comeback after playing back to back days with a short bench.
