  1. Hoosiers 70 Spartans 65 I hope. Heartfelt sympathy to those who were killed or injured and survivors and friends...
  2. I would gladly give up my winnings for FEWER TURNOVERS!
  3. Well, this one is easy to predict. What's difficult is getting the score right. Visitors 68 if they are lucky Indiana with 5 NC banners so far 88 at least A certain B1G referee that loves to call technical fouls on Indiana to cover up the fact that he is incompetent and possibly to emphasize that he is a bigot...has been whacked about the head and shoulders with a mop handle by Martha...just saying and wishing. /s
  4. It's in the bag. NWestern is worried. Defense by Indiana will frustrate them. Use IU's secret weapon...
  5. Now it is payback time. 8 - 0 run by Indiana...here it comes!
  6. Assists with someone else scoring? Defense? Whodathunkit?
  7. This game is important. My prediction isn't. Indiana 71 North by Northwest 63 Heard that there was a hitch in theirs. I'm thinking that the fix is in on this prediction challenge. Either Josh or B Rick will likely be the winner. Nothing I can do about it but complain and I will do that. Reportedly Race Thompson was held out last game as a precaution due to a leg injury. It was allegedly not related to his previous knee injury. Hope he is lots healthier and can move laterally with ease. He should be faster than a missile... leap high-level unidentified flying objects before they are shot down...and can block out then grab and hang on to the basketball like some people who jockey into position and then grab sale items on black Fridays. You know what I mean.
  8. If everyone but me stops posting predictions, I might just possibly be on top by March or April... Hint, hint, nudge, nudge... I once got an award for being humble. But I obviously did not accept it. And I once got the Leslie Neilsen Award at school. What's that you ask? It's a big building with children in it.
  9. Last 5 minutes Michigan did not score a field goal. In the first half, Michigan lead by 11 and Shifino scored 8 straight for IU. IU is tough. Tip of the hat to TJD, Shifino and the team. Win on the road in the Big Ten against a good Michigan team. Not bad.
  10. It's game day!! A tip of the hat to the IU team and coaches! We have enjoyed the winning. Sure wish that all our players were healthy and in prime season condition. Going on the road in the Big Ten is tough. And IU men's basketball team has shown that they do not give up. Just get a good start and defend well on the road. Shifino is going to handle the ball well and gets lots of assists and score in double digits. TJD will get his normal double double and block a bunch and hold whatshisname to a minimum while not getting into foul trouble. We need the whole team to be spot on. Speaking of foul shots...hit em. IU wins by 8. It is written.
  11. Stop and start the above video. It is clear that Paul stuck his foot in front of TJD. Looks intentional. TJD stumbles and casts a look back at Paul Mulcahy...but kept focus on the win and that was that. Reports of a Rutger fan forum state that there is a history of Paul Mulcahy doing such stuff. I do know that a year ago he and XJ mixed it up. Not sure, but XJ reportedly and PM had some shoving and Paul got ejected for swinging at XJ. Earlier last night, there was one instance of a Rutger player tripping and holding an IU player down. It wasn't called and IU lost the ball. The game was chippy. IU kept composed and did what was necessary to win. Glad IU did not fall for the rutger stuff that is not good sportsmanship. Reports of IU fans getting on PM's twitter and dissing him are unfortunate, if true.
  12. The hurrier i go, the behinder i get.
  13. It will be interesting to see this game. Shifino will be bothered, most likely, by a 6' 7" guard, Paul Mulcahy. Paul got into XJ's head a year ago. Their forward that is out, Mag, is a wonder as a glue guy. Big, rebounder, defensive specialist. In his stead they will spread the minutes around to see what works best. Since Race's lateral speed is less than a year ago, it may be a challenge for him...defensively. TJD will get doubled. But Mag was the 2nd on him. Watch the pick and roll with Mulcahy. IU did not compete in December. IU could not hit shots. Could not compete on rebounds and defense. This is a different IU than in December. IU by 9 or 10. Take them out early. Watch the fouls.
  14. Game Day! Defense travels. Rutgers will definitely be bringing theirs. Got to get the ball down the court and in play quickly. To me, that is a huge key against this opponent. Pass the ball sharply. They do force more than their share of turnovers.
  15. Indiana is rolling! 76 Not NYC. Not Philly. Not on the coast. Campus reminds me of PU. 67 Starting forward Mawot Mag with injured knee most likely out..(defensive specialist). Rutgers has troubles hitting the 3. If Shifino is working it...IU runs away with the game. Now this is a great new jersey:
  16. No coaching experience here. Just a huge fan of Indiana basketball. I am not scratching my head if and when IU loses after a big game. Severely disappointing, yes. But it is usually clear why they lose. Right now they are in the conference games. Which games did they lose recently? On the road? Is it tough on the road in the B1G? With a freshman point guard that is in an opponent's arena for the first time. Just look at Purdue's freshman guards in the first half yesterday. Stunned and turning over the ball and not getting the ball into the offense quickly. Parallels could be drawn with our shooters. Except that they are not all freshmen. It is tough to shoot and hit 3s in an opponent's arena. And teams do really get up for games at home. Unless the team has learned to refuse to lose even while on the road. There are just so many keys to obtain these excellent results that we all seek on the courts. Part of that is to have a winning culture. And upperclassmen that have vast experience in most of the positions. And enough depth on the bench to overcome a player who is injured or not playing well. Recruiting is so very competitive and changing year to year. I graduated not only from IU but also UW. Live in Ohio now. My brothers graduated from Purdue. I worked with graduates of Notre Dame, Dayton, Illinois, Penn State, etc. Lived on the east coast for years. A SIL graduated from both IU and ugh Rutgers. Gives one a great perspective on just how tough obtaining a great coach and players and putting together a program and infrastructure to attain excellence is. That other team wants to win just as much as we do. Some really great coach once said: The will to win is not nearly as important as the will to prepare to win. Trying to remember who said that...jeez...and...something, something, mental over physical...
