If you understand anything about truly successful people (and I am not saying you don't), you'll learn that they focus on the process not the results. Guys like Cig have a process that they have developed and trust. That's why he's successful everywhere - they just drop the process into their new location. Guys like Archie don't have that. They can succeed at a place like Dayton which has the processes in place. But becomes a failure at places without. We may not win them all next season, but I guarantee we'll be in a lot of games. We will win some nobody expected to. We'll be bowl eligible. Book it. :)

What the hell makes him think the best players are in the portal. Except for a handful of guys like Dickinson, Most of the portal guys are dudes looking for playing time. They aren't super stars. And our ability to attract those stars is suspect at best. Next two months are going to be interesting.

Winning is the result of a process. One part of that process is building a foundation -- which we don't have. Listen to what Coach Cig talks about -- trust the process and the wins will follow.

Wanting to win and doing the work that is necessary to win are two separate things. It was difficult to win this year. What evidence is there that next year will be better? I see zero, zilch, nada.

There is nothing in Woodson’s three year history to suggest he could pull a major haul from the portal. His best get in all three years was Ware. Then a few “+” players like Kopp, maybe X, Walker. And a few “busts.” This thing is about to crash and burn.

Well we know X and Walker are out of eligibility. Banks, if he’s still on the team, is obviously gone. Gunn probably as well, both looking for playing time. And fairly certain Ware goes NBA. So that’s down 5, plus the open scholarship is -6. MM is a wildcard — don’t really know what he’s thinking. But him, Malik, and Gallo will probably field offers from other teams. So you could have as many as 6-8 spots to fill. You have one player committed. No way you’re filling that many spots with “star” type players that woodson wants via the portal/late commitments. Add the fact that it apparently takes a decade to learn his defense and next year isn’t going to be pretty.

Go back and look again. Many of those missed shots where wide open.

Looks like we’ll be an 8/9 seed. IF we win that game, we get blown out by Purdue Friday morning. Whoopie.

But why would he be "seriously" considered? Did our Indeed posting say "college coaching experience not required." That's my point. Have a little self-awareness and know you're a freaking long shot at best. Instead he acts like he's God's gift to college basketball coaching and cries that his feelings where hurt. We are now paying an extemely high price as a program.

You're interviewing for a top job in College Basketball with zero college experience. Have a little bit of humility, understand you're probably a long shot, and you need to sell your vision of the program and college ball in general. Thank them for the opportunity to interview and share your thoughts and hope for the best. Instead we get the "you want to talk to Mike Woodson, you come see Mike Woodson" arrogance -- and his feelings get hurt. He better be a freaking magician. Otherwise, next year is going to ruin his legacy.

the only plausible this is, yeah they let this out as a misdirection. Then a week or two after the season, Woodson steps in and retires -- which gives Dolson time to line up the next guy.

Frankly that is all we need to know about Woodson. I guy completely unqualified gets his feelings hurt. His arrogance the last few years has killed this program.

Dolson better get out front of this and says his hands where tied. Otherwise, all three of them will be going down in flames. They own this chit.
