Yup! Kid is legit! 3 areas he needs to focus on though. 1. Defense. He struggles at times but I have no doubt it will get fixed. Some of it has to do with him not ever having to play it when your that big and athletic playing against typical 7th and 8th graders. It will come with time and experience. 2. Consistent 3 point shot. The kid can shoot but it needs to get more consistent. Right now he is kinda of a “get hott shooter”. He lives in the gym so again I see him shooting over 40% by the time he is a junior if not earlier. 3. He has to cut down on turnovers. He tries to do so much sometimes but he is really the only one who can create on his team. Also doesn’t help he gets doubled and tripled on most possessions. HH has some kids who can flat shoot but they can’t break anyone down. Again I would assume as he matures and grows the turnovers will be limited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Confidence my friends. You can shoot and shoot all you want and have the greatest form but all great/good shooters have a big Ego’s. They are usually alpha’s who have Extreme confidence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Kopp I think will be fine. Most of his misses are shots he probably shouldn’t have taken. He has hit his catch and shoot rhythm 3’s, and probably will dial back the bad shots once competition is better and we aren’t up big. It’s normally not “sold” out but a few years ago when we had Scherry, Becher, and Sisley with a state contending team gyms were packed. HH will be pretty good the next 4 years so HH fans will be plenty, and a kid like Trent will bring more visiting fans plus just basketball fans that want to see him. The family is pro IU but also has a ton of Purdue alums. Hard to tell where Trent ends up right now as the process has just begun and he just turned 15. He probably doesn’t know what he wants for supper. I know the big time programs are all over him. He has heard from Duke, Cincinnati, as well as other. If you were to ask him where he wants to go right now it would probably be Oregon or a Nike school to be honest but like I said that’s coming from a kid who can’t even drive yet and will have offers from all major D1. I know a lot of people are not happy with Rob but to me it seemed like we went on a stretch where no one was moving at all and Rob didn’t have many places to go or options to pass to once he broke the pressure at half court. I would have to go back and watch that second half meltdown to be certain but I didn’t think all of it was on Rob and some of the blame could be put on everyone just standing around while guarded. I hope Lander is the options but man his defense is so bad. As soon as they checked it they went at him like he was the junior high kid playing with the high schoolers on the park courts. For me it was the Purdue game and specifically how we defended the out of bounds plays. We didn’t make one adjustment and they scored almost every time when they took it out under their own basket! I wanted Archie to succeed, I do like what he says, I like his demeanor, but at some point and time we need to see results and we just haven’t.
