Hanner is injured, out for tonight and maybe up to a month. Yikes.

I may be going off old rules, but isn't every kicked ball a reset of the shot clock? Then they changed it to only reset to :14 instead, now is that rule gone?
-
Nice link. Wow, that was 25 years ago now!

Great win! A couple things I noticed: With less than a minute left and :03 on the shot clock, Yogi dribbled the ball, it hit an O$U player on the foot, it went straight out of bounds. Why wasn't that a reset clock on a kicked ball? Have they changed that rule? On a timeout early in the game, the camera was showing the Ohio State bench when an O$U assistant held a card up to block said camera. The card was a scorecard where you could see he was tracking player deflections. Did anybody else notice that?

Dislike and dislike. Wow. Sucks guys. I'll be on the course, tee time 9:38, will be home about an hour before the game. By then I'll have around 6 beers in me. I hope I remember most of the game! Go Colts

I just stumbled across this gem on espn.com: Did you know Tom Brady is 6-7 in his last 13 playoff games? Did you know since 2006 he’s just 2-4 in AFC Championship games and Super Bowls? Did you know Tom Brady has directed 4 of the 12 highest scoring teams in NFL history and that those teams are just 5-4 in the postseason and scored an average of 16.25 points per game in their eventual playoff defeats? Did you know Brady’s regular-season passer rating (95.9) is 8.4 points higher than his playoff rating (87.5)? Did you know Brady has lost playoff games to Jake Plummer, Eli Manning (twice), Mark Sanchez, and Joe Flacco (twice)? Did you know Brady has thrown one touchdown or fewer in half of his playoff starts? Did you know that the Patriots have been favored in every Brady era playoff loss with the exception of last January in Denver? Did you know Brady only has two game winning drives in the playoffs in the last 10 years and in one of them he threw a game ending interception that was fortunately fumbled back to his team? But hey, good luck this weekend. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/divisional-playoffs-simmons-mailbag-patriots-ravens-colts-broncos-cowboys-packers-panthers-seahawks/

Thanks. She's not even one minute old though, so it should be three decades before she's ready. I hope I make it that long

Thanks Dale, I figured that might stun you. What a long strange trip life has been

Great win by the Colts! Crap yeah, playoff win!!!! Colts defense played well, Redding with two pass deflections, Freeman played great in the second half after disappearing in the first, Davis played great, Toler had great plays with a couple Toleresque mistakes, I'm very happy with the d. TY missed some easy ones and we still have no running game, but we won! Boom, you fumbled twice. Big big deal. That absolutely cannot happen. Hopefully next year we have Tevin Coleman in the backfield. How about Richardson getting no play? Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. That dude is the worst Colt I've ever seen. Luck with no turnovers! That was a welcome surprise too. If he can keep from turning the ball over, we can continue to advance. Next up is Denver next Sunday. As BlueDevil2aHoosier says, Manning chokes in the playoffs..... GO COLTS!
-
He tried to play like that in college and he fouled out all the time. We may never see that type of play out of him until there's 2 minutes left in a game where he miraculously has only one foul. Also, what happened to his free throw shooting? He was 73% last year, now he's at 55%

Me too. I really hope Baltimore beats New England for everybody
-
Go where? Aren't they already on vacation?
-
With Baltimore winning tonight, the Colts would go to Denver if they win tomorrow. I guess we'll save New England for the AFC title game. (or Baltimore. Go Baltimore)

There goes that theory

Not sure yet. Jacson was at our game in Nebraska, who knows when he leaves at this point. Perhaps he gave 3 months notice until the end of the season?

Thinking out loud about our big man situation....
Josh replied to southsidehoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I was a big fan of that team, but I think your dad's wrong about Nover vs Shaq. I believe Shaq had about 30 points and 15 boards. However, IU won that game pretty convincingly. -
Mountain up man, do it!

Miles was screaming a lot of noise to Crean, Crean stood there and didn't seem to lower himself to that level. Crean won the battle of coaches tonight. Great games by Yogi, Hanner, Troy, Rob, even Stan. Good win Hoosiers!

I thought "lunatic fringe" was more of a joke than a name call, but if you're offended I do apologize. I hate name calling. I do think that many people will find fault in the simplest of things just so they can slam Crean. I swear some people would blame him if it rained during a game, causing a loss of television reception. The responses in this thread prove that imo. Nobody knows what happened in the intimate details of Jackson going to Kansas. Anybody who gives details about what must have been said by coaches or AD's is full of poop. From appearances, it looks like Jackson got a promotion. Good for him. Trying to blame Crean and calling our program a sinking ship is overboard. I do agree that the results on the court have been problematic. We should never lose at home to Eastern Washington, Penn State, Northwestern, Nebraska...etc. I don't believe that Crean is the man to restore IU back to perennial championship contenders. However, I don't believe that Jackson leaving for Kansas is another chance to bash Crean. That's an overboard agenda.

It's on you if you miss it. Set them straight before it goes too far. Trust me, I was in the same boat when I started dating my wife, now her whole family knows that I'll miss their events to watch a game.
-
I don't see anybody else giving details about what was said, or how it went down. Everyone is running for the hills? Really? Hey lunatic fringe, it's not as bad as you say. Jackson took a promotion. They say in the business world, a manager strives to get everybody beneath him promoted. That's the sign of a good manager. Assistants getting promoted under Crean is a sign of a coach hiring good people and helping develop them into better positions. But you can keep the tin foil hat and assume everybody else is freaking out too.
-
Chances are rather high? How can you act like you know the details of this situation? You have no idea how this all went down.
-
Sounds like a big promotion. Good luck Jenay, thanks for your time here

I haven't missed a game since 1984. There were a couple seasons in the late 90's that I had to listen to on radio, but I love the Colts. I can't imagine missing a game. My wife is pregnant, due in April. We'll see how that impacts things. If that kid has tee ball during Colts games......I'm going to make sure her mother can take her.
