According to Rivals, he met again with Woodson today (although based on the pictures it seems like everyone did). His dad said the meeting was "good". I would be pretty surprised if Lander goes elsewhere, honestly. The one that worries me is Armaan, I don't have any insider info but I feel like he's taking a long look around.

I expect Lander will be the next one we see return

Certainly hope so, we need shooters and Stewart can do that if nothing else. Him and Armaan are crucial imo.

He’s not in the portal

One of my biggest wants in the portal actually, he’d be a perfect 4 next to Trayce. Little bit more size and length than Hunter has.

All three to Louisville? Cuz that would be one hell of a steal by them and frankly it would make me want to add them to the schedule immediately.

I would like Race back but I don’t think he’d play as much in Woodson’s system he described yesterday.

I think people are confusing his relatively calm/soft spoken demeanor with the media to being old. Woodson seems completely different in practice vs how he is in front of the media. Not to mention he had literally gotten on a plane the night before to fly into Bloomington and had probably barely slept.

I mean it makes sense, I would be shocked if he's NBA bound. He just isn't even close to NBA level right now. So I think the two most likely scenarios are him staying or transferring. I am sure he'll put his name in the draft to get feedback, but he still hasn't put his name in the portal and seems relatively behind the Woodson hire early on.

It’s incredibly easy to retool your roster now with the transfer portal. Well, I guess saying it’s easy is unfair because recruiting successfully is hard, but there are plenty of options. Nearly 25% of D1 players are in the portal. I agree we should target our own guys, but we shouldn’t be held hostage by them. If a guy isn’t bought in to what Woodson is selling, it might be better to go get someone else in the transfer portal that is going to buy in. That seemed to be an issue with Archie, I don’t think everyone on this team was exactly buying in to what he was selling. That being said, if we have a guy on our roster who is willing to buy in there is no reason to look elsewhere.

Hopefully, it seemed like Archie had a pretty quick leash on some guys and didn't really let them play through mistakes. I hope Woodson isn't as strict in that regard because it really seemed to hamper the development of a few guys.

Yeah I agree with that, I remember Gelon’s family talking about Archie basically trying to do everything he could to make Gelon leave, even threatening to allow him to keep his scholarship but be off the basketball team. hence my understanding you can’t just take away a player’s scholarship.

Maybe, but we would have to be very careful about who we played around them. Phinisee/Armaan/Al/Race/Trayce had exactly two guys who were a threat from deep on the floor. Race/Trayce basically couldn't hit from out there and Phinisee was a 26% shooter.
