One thing seems clear to me with Cignetti in regards to our guys… if you don’t buy in to him, his system, and this team, you won’t be here next year. I don’t think he’s compromising on that with anyone, buy in, or get out.

I’ll comment more after our transfer portal haul, but with a decent coaching staff this years team had a good chance of finding 6 wins, I definitely think Cignetti has a shot at it.

I highly doubt every JMU recruit or even most of them are quality enough to play in the Big Ten, but I could definitely see him bringing a few, and I’m sure he’ll be active recruiting some current players that he thinks can make the jump with him

Really curious how much money the NIL collectives have raised since the Cignetti announcement… Just eyeballing it, it looks like at a minimum around ~200k but could be way higher. Would love to try to get the total NIL figure between $4-5 million

Maybe, but the number I heard he was offered is kindve crazy for him. We are certainly raising a ton of money right now for Cignetti, wouldn’t be surprised if he has $4-5 million to work with when all is said and done, but… I’ve heard his rumored offer was in the 500kish range from a Big 12 school

I’d be very surprised if we keep Sorsby based on what I’ve heard… or in other words, it will cost a lot of money.

Our athletic department makes makes close to 100,000,000 more per year, so it’s a rather large indictment on our buy-in to the football program if they can

For the record, I’m pretty confident Cignetti will be the guy, but if it drags on longer and longer, I might start to lean towards Candle being more likely
