I hope Kidwell gets a waiver, not sure why he would, but he would be a big help at OL, quite a few of those guys fill a need for us… Carpenter, Kidwell, Fisher, Horton, Stephens…

(2024) QB Tyler Cherry TO INDIANA
Hoosierfan222 replied to Lebowski's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
It’s hard to overstate just how impressive the beginning to Cignetti’s reign here has been. Great get. -
Cig has clearly shown the ability to develop guys, that JMU staff as a whole has.
-
Probably a lot of guys on JMU our fans would croak about if they committed a few years ago. Clearly they got some good players though. I’m sure 90% of them can’t make the leap to the Big Ten but there’s definitely a few who belong.
-
Saw Elijah Sarrett is in the portal, would love to get him but I doubt he comes here with all the WR additions we’ve had recently
-
One of their top defensive guys, kids a stud.
-
Wow, good for Bedford
-
Cig is killing it in the portal, get me a few guys in the trenches that can be instant impact players and I’ll be thrilled
-
Didn’t he just commit to Minnesota? Wonder what flipped him?
-
I would absolutely love to get Sarratt, if I could take any JMU player it’d be him. Kid is a stud.
-
True, I had high hopes for Sales, I wonder if he can slide into a guard spot? Very curious who Cignetti is referring to as being a silent verbal
-
Nice to see, both tackle spots in good shape now… IOL gotta be next I presume?
-
Barring Tayven making a huge leap, yes we did

Ohio QB Kurtis Rourke has transferred to IU https://x.com/Kurtis_rourke7/status/1735403645955658182?s=20

Huge get for Cig, definitely a ton of potential. Get McCulley back and go grab a QB.

December 8th-10th IUFB Visitors

Where are we seeing McCloud is at IU? -
Is this QB named McCloud, by chance?
-
Being offered 500k helps
-
No offense to Lucas, but I’d be shocked if anyone is giving him a big offer. He showed straight line speed but that’s about it, despite his speed he doesn’t have a ton of shiftiness nor did he ever show much of an impressive ability to make guys miss in space. I wish him well, and as someone who was super high on Lucas coming into the year, I just don’t think he will ever be much more than a special teams guy.
-
No idea, grad transfer I’d think?
-
I think I moreso meant whether there’s been any reported contact between the two since the portal opened
-
Anything connecting us to McCloud? Curious if Cignetti would go after him

You’re making nonsense comparisons and you know it. Does Liberty deserve it? No, because they didn’t beat a single P5 team the entire year and have zero top 25 wins and one of the weakest SOS’s in the entire country. Is that a good comparison to FSU who beat two SEC teams, won every game they played, including multiple top 25 wins, and completely throttled LSU on the way to doing that? That’s a solid comparison to Liberty? Really? FSU isn’t in a G5 conference. If Alabama’s exact resume is replaced with the name Indiana, is anyone deluding themselves into thinking we’d jump FSU?
-
I hate the argument of who’s the best team, because it’s completely subjective and there’s no actual way to determine it, so stop using that as the chief metric. Do I THINK Alabama is better than FSU? Yes, but FSU won every game and earned the right on the field to prove that. These stupid predictive measures should not matter more than wins and losses, nothing should. Most people thought Oregon was better than Washington, which is why they were nearly double digit favorites in the PAC Championship. Yet Washington won, GAMES HAVE TO MATTER. We are robbing FSU of the chance to prove anything. It’s just absurd we’ve determined there are more important factors to who qualifies for a chance to compete for the national championship than wins and losses. This isn’t a P5 vs G5 argument, we are comparing the ACC to the SEC, and by the way, the ACC has a winning record on the year versus the SEC.
