Our offensive spacing was painful with Race and Trayce on the floor, I have a hard time imagining Trayce and Brunk would be any better. Granted that was partly on our guards being mostly incapable shooters.

I can see that to a certain extent. At the end of the day, if you’re not staying Woodson has to be out recruiting guards. Hopefully we hear of some guys coming back in the next few days.

Assuming Race is gone? I am kind of worried Armaan could leave. Really want him back but he's going to be hearing from just about every school in the country. Woodson's recruiting skills are going to be tested early.

Doubt it’s directly related. Larry Brown was supposed to be involved in a Woodson staff when he was campaigning the job back in 2017. I think Woody just really respects his basketball mind.

Sounds like Geronimo is long gone, I also expect Al isn't even considering coming back. Stewart/Armaan/Lander are the main three I want back. Armaan and Stewart for shooting, Lander because of his potential.

I think the Woodson staff is going to have a lot of NBA connections...

For the record, since this was brought up last night... Woodson said he met with 8 or 9 players from the team last night. The rest Zoom’d in. 1 on 1’s with players today.

Wouldn’t be a bad option if we have to go there honestly, didn’t work out at MSU but he’s a high ceiling guy who has all the tools. Just hasn’t been able to put it all together.

I am going to be honest, I know nothing about this guy or what he brings to the table but apparently he is super connected. If he's willing to help Woodson out than that would be great since it seems like every basketball player of note is aware of him as well as several just celebrity figures in general...

We’re comparing a 23 win NBA coach at his peak to 50+ Wins with Woodson. That seems like a good comparison. Woodson’s teams improved every year he was there essentially, and they all got worse after he left. Plenty of NBA coaches have come to college and failed, others have come and succeeded. One example in a vacuum is pretty meaningless, but I’m glad an NC State fan felt the need to come here and inform us of their specific failure.

The further UCLA goes the more head coach calls Lewis is going to get, that’s for sure.

I’m not sure but isn’t he kind of a secondary coach with the Pacers rather than front of the bench staff? That might entice him to IU if we offered him such a role... Although you’d know better than me.

Woodson inbounds play they ran in New York and LA I believe, I saw Melo and Redick talking about it. Apparently it was really successful.

Hmm, looking at it you’re right, Fife is big in his recruitment... I certainly wouldn’t mind Fife coming in under Woodson as a sort of coach in waiting, but not sure how much Woodson knows of him/if he wants to leave MSU.

I’d rather have Lewis than Fife personally but I would be good with either. Woodson is going to have his own connections he’s going to leverage with assistants though I’m sure.

Sure but I am just tossing him out there because he has NBA head coaching experience and I am pretty sure he's close to Woodson plus the passion for the program

Woodson said he's going to start working on his staff after tonight and has a few names in mind. Guessing he'll be doing those 1 on 1 player meetings he was talking about today.

Transfer portal is a two way street.... We could potentially lose a lot of guys in the portal but it’s now easier than ever to retool your roster via the portal.
