  1. Yes, people are complex and often contradict themselves with their words or actions. There’s far more visibility, and therefore accountability, in all areas of life these days. People like Knight would never have made it in the 2000’s. Even with Knight’s quote above, students marching with an effigy of the president is arguably just as shocking. A very extreme response and implies even more extreme repercussions. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. I don’t known why they would create the rule with such a difficult and subjective requirement. “Control” is control to all of the refereeing difficulties in the NFL. Should just be over and back if the inbounding team touches the ball. Still room for some confusion, but far less. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. This is a lot to digest. Woof. I know many pine for the glory days... but that was painful to learn that happened in real life. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. I don’t mind it. It’s up to the coach - not playing on the road will only hurt you when it matters. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. What an embarrassing thing to say. This quote is the definition of arrogance and detachment from reality. They guy seems to have a major superiority complex, see Iowa, handling of lack of Indiana offer, and now this. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Missouri arguably just as talented as Illinois tbh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Absolutely loving the Clifton and Jake lineups. They place a really smart game. Execution needs fine tuning, but I love how often they make the smart pass, play in position, and work it to each other inside. Best pass into the post I’ve seen this year came from Clifton on the perimeter, over the defender to Jake for the easy bucket. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. There you go. A game where the team did everything they were supposed to do. Way to close out the non-conference. Read somewhere it was the first time in however many years we didn't have a sub-100 KenPom loss in the non-con schedule. Archie is proving his chops. Personally, I've seen plenty of improvement from this team since Arkansas and Duke.
  9. His passing and defense this game have been beautiful. He's quickly approaching Troy territory - can't live without him, may kill you anyway.
  10. Honestly, our defense has been really impressive at times. So much so that I sometimes forget about it and only focus on the offensive end and the somewhat uninspired play on that end. This is going to be a team that you don't want to play in March.
  11. You mean the greatest unattributed block in history! There are some videos out there that show either Yogi or Vic might have gotten a finger on it.

  13. Didn’t know him, but clearly he was a guy who loved and invested in people. One example we all witnessed, during his time here he supported various students (I believe he had a class), and would give them the opportunity to write content on the site under their name. He then would request and collect feedback from the board for the student. Love seeing those people who give themselves and what they have to others and pour themselves into making others better. 14. Old Friend, the problem with Dakich is that he’s started to eat his very own BS he serves everyone. I enjoy straight shooters, but often that is a term that is used to describe individuals with huge egos and believe they know better than everyone around them. Case and point, he seems to believe that he knows best how to handle the basketball team and that every move made by the university is wrong. It takes a real arrogant individual to not recognize that there never is one correct answer in life, and the best laid plans can quickly fall to pieces. Regarding Dakich’s integrity - he fights people of all ages on Twitter, leaked details about Hutch despite family requests, rabidly supports Steve Alford out of pure blind loyalty despite his very public mistakes and recruiting at UCLA, and is incapable of admitting when he is wrong. Don’t know him in his private life, but there are enough public actions available to paint a solid understanding of him. Contrary to your belief, I don’t like him so I don’t listen to the blowhard. Unfortunately, he pumps out so much garbage the Internet is polluted with his “truths” and hot takes. He is, in my opinion, representative of a major problem in modern day media and society - a man who can do no wrong and say no lies. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. He’s a bitter and jealous old man, and then magnifies that in order to get clicks and hits. Really not a fan of his ilk. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. Really can’t help but enjoy reading that. I tend to believe he is a scumbag, UCLA is a historical cheater, and I’m confident in assuming their a present day cheater as well. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Important to warm up and get the blood pumping before strenuous physical activity.
  18. Why? On what basis? What are your questions? You're a doctor, so I'm assuming you're fairly familiar with the process for obtaining evidence and linking diseases to causes. Seems odd to just state you doubt the science without explaining your logic. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/sports/large-report-finds-evidence-brain-disease-most-former-football-players-n786386

  21. Any other surprises coming or is the party over?
  22. Gotta love that. Especially the OL/DL.
  23. Someone needs to knock him out. What a prick.
  24. 8 of our top 25 recruits on 247 signed in 2018 or 2019
