CFB 25 has it wrong :( I think he's the first class to not get the COVID year and it screwed me up. My morning is ruined.

I know I keep hitting the senior day video, but was really surprised to see Jailin Walker in it. I thought he had more eligibility than that. Would really like to see him back. Myles Price is awesome, but I'm REALLY going to miss KeShawn Williams. That guy is electric and has made some gigantic plays this season. We'll have some real talent to replace even with Omar and Sarratt (hopefully) coming back.

99% certain Evans is a scholarship. Can't say on DM.

Doesn't put it in ink, but all those listed went through senior day. Wouldn't be surprised if we're touching 40 by the time guys get sent packing. And I'd think some will go before the playoffs because the portal window is only open for a week after the first round.

Oh, I can't find anything about it. His Twitter account makes it appear he's still around, but he wasn't in the senior day video and I'd think he'd be done by now. Odd. Sometimes those guys just kind of disappear without a trace.

Was he a part of that mid-season group that announced they were transferring?

There’s already an absurd number of 4/5 star WRs in the portal. We’ll be looking for guys that have proven it (ahem, Concepcion) but the star power is out there. Micah Hudson from TT is the most recent. No reason to think he’d be close with Myles Price, but you never know.

Not sure, doesn’t appear so on the surface. And to be clear I’m not sure they’ll even go after Kevin. He was just a big name that popped today that fits some criteria of last portal season’s guys.

Options are already popping up. NC State WR Kevin Concepcion is in. Basically a carbon copy of Myles Price, from Charlotte (staff seems to love NC kids) but it doesn’t appear that he received a JMU offer coming out. He was 2023 ACC freshman of the year and a freshman All-American. This will be fun to follow while we wait on the CFP bracket and the games to begin. 2024-25 portal thread coming soon.

The mastermind behind SP+ rankings just revealed that tomorrow’s weekly rankings, that feature every team in the country from FBS to NAIA, have a D2 team (Harding, who is a LOAD) ranked ahead of Purdue.

Well I’ll also believe we’re the 10 seed when I see it. Committee has a clean slate this year to apply whatever “logic” they choose to CCG results. We could host or be the 11 seed for all we know.

I won’t be surprised to see us going to Austin in the final bracket. I’ll believe Texas can beat Georgia when I see it, but doubt they’d drop behind us with a loss.

I’m not sure Purdue can be competitive enough in NIL to be anything better than “not very good”. That job looks really, really unattractive unless they have a well-hidden war chest. Their rebuttal will be “WELL INDIANA WASNT ATTRACTIVE EITHER”, but it was to anyone that was paying attention and knew that the financial potential was there. To my knowledge, that potential is not there at Purdue.

What am I missing with Miami? They’ve beaten NOBODY and have TWO unranked losses. Their ceiling should be 15 in the next rankings.

That was a wonderful evening in The Rock. Shocked at the size of the crowd, student section was a MESS, it was loud and it was a gorgeous night for football. Purdue quit pretty early on. In the 2nd quarter right before we made it 21-0, TySon Lawton about broke Purdue’s safety’s neck finishing a run and that was about the end of them giving any effort. A really terrible football team met a really good and pissed off football team and that was that. Playoff time.

Funny how this always seems to happen to Michigan. Trash program.
