    IU pays about $20 million a year in athletic scholarships (according to TDH). Schools fund those differently (it can get really tricky at lower levels), but I’d imagine most of IU’s comes from our massive TV deals and things like that. Do with that what you will. This debate doesn’t really interest me one way or the other because it isn’t changing and likely will only get crazier. Adapt or die.

    North Texas/San Diego State is the perfect bowl game. A billion points, every other play has something completely bats**t insane happen, it’s raining in New Mexico for the first time in 2 months according to the broadcast. What a treat.

    Immediate floor raiser, similar to Cig doesn't seem like he's his age, his teams pretty much always play "The Michigan Way" *barfs*. But.........while I understand the national brand that Michigan is and the built-in advantages that provides, he's never coached east of the Salt Lake City metro area. I still wish they'd just do the right thing and promote Biff.

    Would like to see Cuono step into the Martin role of “oh…we got something here” next season. Because I think we got something there.

    If there’s one thing we don’t need, it’s another lead back and especially one that racked up system yards in G6 and was already kinda dookie at a P4 school. Would be happy to land his former TCU QB however.

    Reading between the lines per Cig's presser today, Haines was receiving some very serious HC interest which got the admin to expedite his extension. Not so much on Shanahan, but they wanted to make sure he got locked up also.

    Ask Fernando if he’d rather wait on the Jets to prove they can change or take his chances on the ownership group that now includes Tom Brady. Not that he really has a choice.

    Giants and Raiders play next week. If the Raiders lose that game they’ll be in the driver’s seat for the 1st pick. Not only is that a bajillion times better than going to the Jets, having a direct line to Tom Brady is a pretty legit resource for a young QB.

    I like the “move the bowls to the non-con portion of the schedule” proposal I heard this week. Bowls as we know them are dead, let’s think outside the box.

    I’m alright with G6 bids (albeit, probably don’t need two if we’re sticking with 12 teams), but the G6 reps just happen to be pretty bad this year. My petty side thinks it’s hilarious that Notre Dame has to sit at home and watch this all by their own doing.
