The foul being missed or not called hurt. What hurt worse was trey being pushed into TJD who then couldn’t jump to block or alter the shot. Still wish we would have doubled there or brought help/pressure, forced him to make a decision or for them to hit a kick and contested shot. Once I saw him get down hill one on one I knew we were in trouble. Can’t let him get that deep.

Well, even after a full night of sleep that sucked…and it’s cloudy and raining to make it worse. But, gotta move on boys. Short term memory, grab two more wins in conference and get ready for a deep run in the tourney. Although that JHS lob may be a little harder to forget. That thing was bad ha-ha.

(2021) C Logan Duncomb to IU, to Winthrop

Broke my nose before high school in a game. Reconstructive surgery with multiple packings afterward... I have had several other injuries including broken ribs, arms, etc...nothing has ever compared to having the packing pulled out of my nose, although I wouldn't recommend broken ribs to anyone either. The pressure release, sensation and pain was so intense I passed out. It's wild. -
This is the phantom call that sticks out to me from the Maryland game. When the dude is all the way back on defense confused as to what's going on...dead give away ha-ha. I think it was over Trey, and no one touched him. And to be clear, I know and admit we foul wayyy to much, but I agree with Chris that other teams are committing the same "fouls", and not getting whistled for them.

Possibly. I do notice we get handsy at times, especially on the perimeter...but again, I don't think this explains the disparity. Seems like game after game I notice small bumps, minor contact being blown on us, in addition to several phantom calls, that are not called on the other end. The inconsistency of officiating this year has been laughable.

I would be okay with us being left out of the top 25 this week...keep them hungry and with a chip on their shoulder. Honestly could care less about the top 25, if we get a decent seed and make a run in the tourney. Edit: Just saw we came in at 21. Regardless, just win baby! -
I don't think it's arguable that TJD is the more complete player...Edey is just huge and on the number 1 team in the country. Looking at them side by side.... Year Avg: - Edey avg. - 21.4 pts, 13 reb, 2.3 blocks 1.3 assists. - TJD avg. - 19.7 pts, 10.8 reb, 3.2 blocks, 3.4 assists. Over the last 7 games: - Edey avg. - 20 pts, 12 reb, 2 blocks, 1.7 assists. - TJD avg. - 24 pts, 14 reb, 4 blocks, 4 assists If TJD keeps this up, not sure how they give it to Edey over TJD.

The +9 helps explain that some then. He was just out of sync on offense, looked unsure, slow and slow to get off the ground. On defense I can remember several plays where he kept his verticality on drives, and played good defense. I would also like to give Miller Kopps some high praise. That kid played 40 minutes and busted his butt. Knocked down several big shots, and made a potentially game winning dive on that ball and got the timeout. My biggest issue from the game...JHS is unwilling to go after loose balls...

I was on Coach Ya (I think like the rest of the fan base), about not getting Malik back in. Saw this posted in a Hoosier Huddle Article. Appears sub patterns were not in Ya, and Woodson even encourage him pre game to run his own sets and plays out of timeouts. "Rosemond wasn’t running the show completely alone. He said assistant coaches Kenya Hunter and Brian Walsh handled substitutions, so he could focus on the game’s flow, coaching the team on the floor, and executing the game plan."
