I agree…and absolutely no sympathy here. Reading the report, it was bad. Also surprised he was able to get it plead down. Just wild he was able to return in the first place. He should have never stepped a foot back on campus. But they let him return and finish his freshman year, and be involved all summer. Was just curious if he had any leg to stand on. Overall, just a Horrible look for Pitt.

What’s confusing is, they suspended him indefinitely, he was able to plea down to misdemeanors, and then they allowed him to resume activities and return to the team. He practiced all last year and just played in their recent international games….yet all of a sudden they kick him off campus? They should have never let him back, period. Huge mistake by the university. But they did…and Sounds like they are now kicking him out of school (not at the direction of the athletic department or coach) based on public backlash, even though there haven’t been any other recent legal issues, and he’s been with the team and in school for a year since the incident. For our legal board members..could he sue? They let him back into school and on the team due to some set of conditions that he must of met, he hasn’t had any legal trouble since, and they are now kicking him out of school because of public pressure, not conduct since the incident.

I'm ignorant when it comes to NIL. Is there a general pool of money that is distributed to out to the basketball team from a collective, in addition to the individual NIL deals per player. Or...is it all individual. Trying to understand how much a relatively unknown walk-on guy can make.

I'm not sure what they can do...but the overall gameday experience needs to be rethought and revamped/reworked. Before moving out of state, was a season ticket holder for years...and the gameday experience always left a lot to be desired. Tons of dead time, outdated music, and largely the same exact thing rinse and repeated week in week out. I understand the need to get some staple items in place each game, but the current approach becomes very stale, very quick...especially if the production on the field is the same. Win games and this matters a lot less, but until then...you've got to keep people engaged and wanting to come back week over week.

Surprised Rayford is walking on. He had some other D1 offers out of HS, and surely could have landed somewhere else on scholarship. Makes sense for us obviously. Get what appears to be a high quality kid, with skills above your standard walk-on, but doesn't take a spot for multiple years...especially with the 2024 kids we are on.

If Trayce goes undrafted…his workouts must of been rough. Understand the shot is a question mark, but he could be a rotational guy on any team day 1 imo…you can’t teach that athleticism, rebounds really well, can distribute and score around the rim. And he’s proven in those skill sets in multiple college years in the big ten. Wild.

Buddy of mine sent me a write up from Rabby on 2024 kids…5-6 top 25 kids either projected to set up or already setting up officials to IU. This staff is rolling…we are at the table.

When did Logan announce he was entering the portal, and then ultimately transferring? Looks like he attended this with Kaleb in April, still wearing a Hoosiers sweatshirt. Unless these were old pictures from a prior event. Good on him if this was after those announcements, although he could of dressed up a little more haha.

I do not fully understand the guidelines around NIL, but this is what I have been told as well. His Nba ownership muddies the water. Now...are one of his companies or a company he has ownership in allowed to provide NIL deals, or does he have to stay out entirely? There was also a rumor floating that Mgbako posted a picture holding and promoting a water brand, that is owned by a good friend of Mark Cubans (supposedly). I think this is potentially where Cuban could get involved and help IU, in helping set up or make introductions for players to companies for NIL deals, without actually having to do so himself. Providing access, not $. But...I also could be wrong, and would welcome education in this space from anyone who knows the in's and out's.

What I do know, is that I don’t know anything…and I have absolute confidence in that. I’m local in Bloomington, have tried to work my “sources” close to the program or typically in the know. No one has anything to share…typically I can get something from someone.
